The resort was beautiful and clean, and I have no issues with the cleanliness, the dining options or the friendliness of most of the staff. My issues mostly are around the check-in staff and guest services dropping the ball on multiple occasions. I came to this resort to celebrate my birthday and booked through Expedia. I was told my second to last day that there were VIP benefits that I qualified for that I should have received at check in but did not, but I was still asked to sign a document dated the day I arrived to make it look like they gave me this information on time. I told multiple people at check-in that my birthday was the day after arrival and not only did they not even write a note but there was no acknowledgment of me celebrating a birthday or anything. There were stale chocolates when I arrived in my room and even after the staff cleaned for two days they left the chocolates there, I had to remove them and take them to the hallway. My friend and I stayed in separate rooms and we asked for blankets four days in a row and never received them. Most of the wait Staff was amazing. However we did have a horrible experience at the steak night on the day of my birthday, where the server greeted us with “what”! Overall, the process of booking this resort through Expedia with seamless transportation worked perfectly, but I am so underwhelmed by the experience and the lack of explaining or even delivering the VIP benefits offered, 4/10 I will not be returning.

The rooms were updated and clean, the food was adequate, but not great. The staff were friendly and courteous. Turnoff: persistent up-selling with products that are timeshare like in nature. High pressure sales that could last for hours. Very disgraceful and disrespectful. The water was filled with sargassum and extremely shallow…. Not swimmable. The sand and chase lounges were adequate and clean.

Property was dirty. Rim of filth around the pool and never in a week saw anyone scrubbing the pool or shocking with chlorine. Pool bar would start closing down at 4:30 and all pools closed by 6:30, so ample time to clean. Because they started closing early you could get rum & coke only or shots for the last 1.5 hours. They closed down the dacquiri & pina colada mix machines first. Wood doors on rooms stuck...enough that I almost fell down when trying to slam my whole body into the door to open it (fire hazard) in my water shoes. Showers are weirdly L-shaped with two shower areas and since they are the "wet room" concept water flows out into your room and in my case even out into the hallway. When I got there the toilet seat was barely attached to the toilet. Beds are HARD. Like Fred Flinstone slabs of granite hard. I love a firm bed, but came home in pain. SMELL! Like raw sewage. Yes, lots of sargassum seaweed but the smell was strongest by the lobby and pools so either water with "gray" water that needs more treatment or their sewage system is inadequate. Food repetitive, as in EXACTLY the same thing in the buffet every day. And even though we had specifically asked before booking if we could use the al a cartes at Serenade Punta Cana, AND BEEN TOLD YES, when we got there we were told we could only eat at the All-Suites side (except Gourmet & pub). Also, cannot take food out of restaurants so no pool-side eating.

The room was beautiful ,great housekeeping and most of the staff was amazing but some only spoke Spanish . I think food was okay but not that great . The jacuzzi were not working except for the elite .The coffee shop needs to improve on making frappes as they blend it for a second and it’s filled with ice and hard to drink . Kitchen staff hardly smiles in the buffet cuz it seems like they don’t want to be at work . OMG the restaurants and buffet areas were so hot it was horrible . Front desk staff were very nice and helpful . I think this resort is just okay and can be improved with better service .

Really nice stay overall. The workers are all amazing, friendly, caring, nice to talk to. Bartenders at the sand bar are the best. The entertainment workers are awesome and make sure you have a lot of fun. Just don’t expect your room service to come if its after 9 pm lol.

This was me and my partner's first all inclusive. Overall it was a pretty good experience. Honestly I would have rated this a five star, but the experience we received on the second day with the Xpand team was appalling. They were trying to sell us some membership that we had no interest in even after saying no. They were so aggressive with selling this membership that I could not forget about it during the rest of the trip. STAY AWAY FROM AUGUST. This man will tear you apart and try to push you into buying this useless membership. From what I've seen, it seems they target young couples. I would stay away from them at all cost. They will try to invite you to a lunch/dinner discussing a "promotion" I repeat, stay away from this. They said it would only be 1 hour and it ended up being 3 hours. What could have been such an amazing experience just left me thinking about this stupid experience the rest of the trip. What felt like genuine kindness from the staff made me feel like it was all a front to try and lure me into buying something. I really wish this was not part of the resort. I really do feel bad for the people that fall into this scam.
