⭐️ 0/5 – Safety Failures and No Accountability We booked SLS Playa Mujeres through Expedia and paid extra for an SLS Elite room, expecting a five-star experience. Instead, our short long-weekend stay was ruined by repeated safety failures, severe understaffing, and lack of accountability. Our son has a tree-nut allergy, communicated in advance. Despite this, he was served Nutella chocolates, a dish with pine nuts, and after raising the issue, nuts again for a third time — any could have caused a medical emergency. The resort was understaffed, especially at breakfast and pools/beaches. Elite seating was unavailable, breakfast was slow, our room wasn’t ready on arrival, and no welcome drink was offered. We asked to speak with the hotel manager, which never happened. An assistant manager on WhatsApp also never responded. The only goodwill offered was a late checkout and a pool cabana, far below what was needed. Based on our experience, SLS Playa Mujeres is not safe for families with allergies and does not deliver an Elite, five-star experience.

This was a wonderdful relaxing resort located about 45 minutes north of Cancun. Overall we had a great time the week we stayed at this resort. This resort is very lowkey. There is very little daytime entertainment available at this resort. The resort seems to be unintentionally split half into a family section, and half into an adult only section. Any dinner activities are reservation only so that is good to know going into your stay. We wish they had more midday entertainment available on the adults only side and across the resort overall.

We recently had a magical family stay at the SLS Cancun All-Inclusive Resort, and it was fantastic. Traveling with my wife, our toddler, and our baby, we were looking for a place that offered luxury but was also family-friendly. From the moment we arrived, the resort felt like a palace—pristine, exclusive, and truly opulent. We stayed in a higher-end ocean view room with about 800 square feet, two balconies—one with a jacuzzi—and stunning views of the ocean and marina. It was a bit of a walk from the elevator, but that meant more privacy. The resort really shines for families—there’s a kids’ club, kiddie pool, and plenty of children’s activities. Our toddler loved it, and we felt completely at ease. Dining was excellent with a variety of restaurants and outstanding service. Even though we didn’t dive into the adult-only amenities this time, we know there’s a luxurious spa and a nanny service if we come back. Overall, it’s a place we’d happily return to for both family fun and a little luxury.

I do not recommend this place. They do not have enough beach chairs or umbrellas and the ones they do are broken. I also don’t feel that this place is safe. I had an incident with a guest that accosted me, but when they found a report, they made him sign a warning instead of removing him after he signed the warning I was told that he would not if there were another fraction he would be removed. He was not removed instead it’s allowed to run free and then again cost it now my family and they did not deal with the incident.

Excellent family getaway. I can’t remember the last time we were able to relax this much on a family vacation. SLS Playa Mujeres really delivered. The kids club and teens club were fantastic.

Positives - Room was of a good design and clean. The first day, the room floor collected a lot of moisture, but the rest of the stay was moisture-free. Kids club was good with many activities including Cinema. Water park and pools were very nice, some were warm pools. Room Service was very good and timely. Spa massages were very good. Staff was generally good. Check-in process was excellent and they gave the room pretty early. Negatives - The butler service is overrated. Butler did not give full information at the start of the stay and left us to discover all the 'all-inclusive' services ourselves giving the feeling that they wanted us to lose valuable resort time and ultimately not use some of these services at all. Our butler botched a dinner reservation and we ended up getting room service. He also failed to inform us about the included Hydrotherapy for our Elite stay and we ended up buying a massage that included Hydrotherapy. Though the beach was long, it was not very broad, and Sargassum collected in large quantities. The Staff at The Market restaurant did not let us in for dinner buffet even though there was 45 minutes left until closing time.

The reason I’m not putting 5 stars , it’s hard for us to make a reservation at the restaurant they don’t have space for everyone.everyday they have 1 of the restaurant closed . Also the pool water is very cold in the pools so be ware. Cocunt are 14 dollars I think it’s overpriced.
