Smooth check-in, diligent room cleaning service, helpful staff in getting taxi and providing instructions. However the restaurant Xianggong was a little bit disappointing but that is not the hotel's problem. Oh, great location to access the MixC Mall across the street!

Great value hotel with 5 star feel and facilities. Very convenient location, helpful and friendly staff. Buffet lunch was reasonable, but not many decent non-meat options. Excellent hotel, nice large rooms, with probably the largest bed I have ever slept in. Huge buffet breakfast and evening meals. If you want a seafood extravaganza, this is the place for you. The hardest part is choosing what to eat. All for a very reasonable price, so much choice. Beer and soft drinks included. The only negative for me was that I was unable to find a gin and tonic at the hotel. Taxis are surprisingly cheap. 70 minute rides for only 200 yuan. Recommend visiting the waterfront for the light shows in the evening. And a 10 yuan taxi ride to Fifty-Two Bar. Excellent views and atmosphere.

My family had a lovely stay in Shangri La Qingdao. Everything was perfect, from location next to May Fourth Square station and a mega shopping mall MixC, very clean room to excellent customer service (special mention to York who helped us with check-in and Mr Yan who cleaned our room). I would certainly stay here again in my next visit to Qingdao.

Very nice room in the Valley Wing. The buffet breakfast is included daily (covering two persons per room). The restaurant at lobby level offers amazing choices with a high cooking and serving food stations, serving Chinese breakfast, pastry, Korean and Japanese food (for breakfast). The staff members are all polite and professional. For the daily all inclusive room rate of about RMB 2000 per night, it is a good deal.
