Nice room for family of 4, slippery pool floors!

The room was separated with a door (a nice surprise!) between the "master bed" and the living room with the sofa bed, so it was ideal for a family of four! My kiddos even stayed in bed longer than they usually do! Win! Our room was very nice, clean and spacious, but the pool area was extremely dangerous with ceramic floors all around. We even wondered if that was legal!! With the kids, even just walking around ("Don't run!!") ended up in a couple falls on the bum - could have been worse... It would be much safer to have some tiles of a rougher surface around the pool itself.

This was a quick one night stop with our medium 18month dog. We requested a ground floor room which we got. The room was adequate. It could’ve been larger but for 1 night it was fine. The hotel is walking distance to 2 grocery stores and a Boston Pizza. There was also some walking trails nearby where we took the dog.

The drink machine only took Canadian money. The 30ish manager on duty was very rude when we asked "if we we give you $3.00US can you give us $2.00 Canadian?" He rudely said " US money was useless.Haven't you been watching the news about your stupid President?" Even when we explained that US was 100.to Canadian 75. He refused so we were unable to buy water. I'm sure there was probably bottled water for restocking available but he didn't offer any. That's not how you treat people.

Language barrier!

I had a challenge trying to find the hotel in the first place as my GPS took me to the wrong location. When I called for some assistance the person asnwering the phone was less than helpful. He told me it was a great big building with the word hotel on top. I now understand that it must have been a directional thing with the street (E vs W)? The remote for the TV did not work. The tap in the tub dripped constantly. The a/c unit was very noisey and there was a puddle inderneath it in the morning.

I wish them well, but never again

Here are the positives: courteous staff, close proximity to grocery and gas. Now the cons: the hotel "looks" like the photos but they are deceptive. The beds sagged in the middle. The sheets were clean but smelled over bleached and old. The furniture was old, scratched and damaged. The curtains were old. The hotel and room smelled musty. We left after one night and cancelled the rest of our stay. I'm sorry. I don't like writing this, but I appreciate frank assessments when I'm doing my research.
