The property has lots of character. A little noisy at night from bar/restaurant nearby. The slopped ceilings were a little obstacle on third floor. Banged our heads a couple of times. I am 6 foot tall. No 24 hour attendant however easy to contact and very responsive. We had an enjoyable experience.

This hotel used to be wonderful when it was family owned. Now it is owned by an impersonal chain. There is no personal reception, no concierge. You have to register online and you have to use codes to get into the hotel and the room. They have destroyed the romance of the old place. It also used to have a wonderful breakfast downstairs. No more. But it is a great location.

Good location but for price there is nothing for breakfast, 25/day extra for parking, no personnel onsite, room on 3rd fl with no elevator, and 100% remote/digital checkin requiring 2 sets of codes to get in front door and then into the room.

The rooms are beautiful and not cookie-cutter. We stayed in room 7 on the third floor. To reach it, we had to climb a steep and narrow spiral staircase. It's a little challenging while carrying suitcases. There is no elevator. There is no front desk staff at the hotel, ever. I would recommend this hotel for location, personality, and comfort.

Our recent stay at Hotel Le Clos Saint-Louis was an absolute delight, perfectly capturing the romantic essence of Quebec City. This beautiful old hotel masterfully combines historic charm with all the modern amenities you could wish for, creating a truly comfortable and unique experience. The location is simply unbeatable. Nestled in upper Old Quebec, the hotel is just an easy five-minute walk down the street from the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Its prime position also makes it a convenient home base for exploring virtually every landmark and attraction in the area, saving us from long treks or needing to rely on transportation. It is already surrounded by delicious restaurants and cute shops. Beyond the stunning architecture and superb location, the service truly stood out. The staff was incredibly available and attentive at all times, always ready to assist with a warm smile. We especially appreciated the personal touch of the cleaning services, which made us feel exceptionally well-cared for throughout our stay. For anyone seeking a romantic getaway or for those who appreciate the rich historic character of their accommodations, we would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It's a charming and serene choice that makes a trip to Quebec City even more memorable.

Friendly and helpful staff. Gave detailed recommendations for parking. Room was clean and ready. Only problem was the lack of WiFi. The connection was very spotty if it was working at all. We had better luck just relying on our data which was unfortunate. Would stay again if WiFi got a boost. Cool place!

This is a very lovely hotel with an old world feel that matches the surrounding area. Our room was beautifully decorated and very quiet. The parlor is so easy to spend time in reading or just visiting with friends or family. The nearby restaurants were all very delicious! We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel sitting room is nice. But our room 7 is in pretty bad shape. The interior window does not close completely, increasing street noise in the room. AC leaks water in the room. Believe the chair was moldy. Gave my wife a headache. We stopped using the AC. Bathroom exhaust fan does not work. Reported these problems on first day. They did not fix it. Tea kettle appeared to be moldy. Could not access the inside. Very difficult to walk around bed. Not enough space. TV needs to be mounted on wall. I think they should refund at least half our money.
