We cannot recommend Gaia highly enough. The hotel was beautifully maintained, the staff was exceptional and we love the mission of supporting the macaws. The birds were breathtaking! We also had monkeys right outside our room on multiple occasions. Rooms were amazing and clean. We will definitely be back !

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic staff. Great location. Very informative tour about their re-introduction of scarlet macaws to the area. Food and beverages were very good. They were able to book our tour to Manuel Antonio park with their very knowledgeable guide.

We have stayed at the Gaia two times before. We love it every time. This time it seemed a bit of the mark though. The toilet paper roll was loose and wouldn’t stay up, the shower drain was plugged( they fixed after a day), and the rooftop bar was not open the first couple days we were there. The breakfast was also lit as good as it used to be. Still a good and free breakfast but not what I looked forward to each time. Staff is always very attentive and willing to help any way they can. Our concierge was also in constant contact with any issues and even got us a spa spot on a rainy day even when they said they were full when we called. We stayed in a suite with balcony. This is a plus on rainy days as we sometimes just sat and watched the wildlife from our balcony

Gaia was a beautiful property that we celebrated our honeymoon at. Our loft suite was spacious & clean. The pools and grounds were well kept & luxurious. The staff were kind & attentive. We had Edson as our concierge who was helpful & available in booking excursions, taxi's, & truly was helpful with anything we needed. We booked messages at the spa & a facial because it was so relaxing & refreshing we had to go twice. We loved the breakfast at La Luna daily, the best coffee with the most beautiful view. We would visit again & would recommend.

My husband and I stayed at Gaia after I found it online, and WOW- the ratings and photos didn’t even come close to preparing us for what awaited. I’ve truly never experienced a hotel like this before. From the breathtaking views to being surrounded by jungle, national park, and a macaw refuge, Gaia feels like something out of a dream. But what truly sets it apart is the people who run it. Every single staff member is attentive to every detail. It’s as if they anticipate your needs before you even realize them yourself. Our personal concierge, Catalina, made everything effortless. Alessio, our dinner waiter, and Anthony, who took care of us at breakfast, were equally wonderful, warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. Their care isn’t just part of their job, but it’s who they are as people. Because of them, we felt immersed in Costa Rican hospitality and culture in a way that words can’t quite capture. Catalina helped us plan amazing excursions: a guided tour of Manuel Antonio, a 90 minute couples massage on-site, and a breathtaking waterfalls tour that became one of our favorite memories. With only about 20 guests on the property, everything felt intimate and serene. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted, upgraded to a beautiful room, and made to feel at home right away. And then there’s La Luna, the on-site restaurant that completely blew us away. After trying several restaurants in the area, this was easily our favorite. Thank you Alessio for all the wonderful

We just left the hotel and we loved it. All the staff were great but extra thank you to Deiver, our concierge. He made everything very easy from reservations to the National park, shopping, dinning and transportation. We were very sad to leave and hope to be back soon.

This was a beautiful property. The staff was amazing and overly attentive! I was upgraded to a room with my own pool which was amazing! The room was beautiful. The pool was nice but not as beautiful as it is in the pictures. I like this location and would stay here again.
