Situated on a peaceful 2-acre lot, this home was inspired by the iconic 1994 Life Magazine Dream House, designed by renowned architect Robert Stern. Perfect for family gatherings or a relaxing getaway, this property offers a blend of comfort, charm, and unique character.

Nice home for our extended family to stay over Thanksgiving holiday-comfortably slept 9 people. Lots of room to spread out. The back deck and outdoor area was amazing. My family loved the quietness of the neighborhood.

The house was gorgeous and spacious. But more important than that, the hosts were readily available to answer questions from the time of booking until we left and were super flexible. Our 2nd time staying in this fabulous house! Our son attends NCState and we (and my sister’s family) come down for a long weekend to visit. The house is the perfect size for multiple guests! We stick the teenage kids in the basement, adult guests upstairs and ourselves in the master bedroom. We love the back porch to eat and play games and the kids like the fire pit. Great backyard. It helped that the weather was absolutely perfect. We’re just sad our son will be graduating and will no longer have an excuse to stay!

Such a wonderful experience staying here. We came for a neices wedding and Linda and Glenn were gracious to allow us to host a family get together for 4 generations. It was the first time the entire family had been together in decades, coming from Tennessee, California and North Carolina. The home was absolutely perfect for entertaining, with a large kitchen and beautiful deck overlooking the woods. The family enjoyed eating and catching up with ample places to sit and gather. The toys and kitchen in the nanny room were a huge hit for the youngsters while the adults enjoyed games usrtairs as well as outdoors under the shady front lawn. The bathrooms were stocked with toiletries, bed were comfortable and the whole process for check in/out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was beautiful! The house was ok - it could use some updating for more relaxing spaces and furniture. I wasn't expecting to have the owners on the property so that made things feel different from any place I had stayed before. I won't ever rent a place where the owners are living down stairs. The lighting inside needs updating - and the kitchen is not outfitted as well as we thought it would be. It didn't have the vibe we hoped for.

Amazing getaway!!

From the beginning of the booking process to walking out the door at the end of the week the property owner was very professional. The house was very warm and welcoming when you first walk in. It had more than enough room to accommodate our family of 8 and then family that came to visit as well. We have already talked about heading back next year.

Perfect location. Less than 20 minutes to graduation ceremonies. Well appointed home in a great neighborhood. Perfect for our big family. The owners are kind and helpful - even put up a congratulations banner for my daughter.

Five Stars all Around

We enjoyed this wonderful property in a great neighborhood during our weekend activities in Raleigh. Our group consisted of four men in our 70's from around the eastern half of the country. The bedrooms were comfortable with well appointed and ample bathrooms. We utilized the big screen TV upstairs to stream the Saturday night race from Rockingham. Check in and out was a breeze and their was ample parking for our 4 cars. I would highly recommend this property.

Suburban Raleigh Getaway

The very yellow house had its charm. We walked everyday. Found some great diners not too far away. Enjoyed the quiet nights. The host (Linda) was very easy to communicate with. All of the amenities in the house worked well. We came home with laundry done!

Great place to house 8 to 10 guests. Large kitchen/dining area was awesome to visit and play games! We had one warm evening to enjoy the patio. Just make sure to pick up extra toilet paper!
