Castaway Resort offers 19 accommodations with a safe and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to balconies or patios. This individually decorated and furnished accommodation has separate sitting areas. Guests can make use of the in-room fridges and microwaves.

Highly recommend staying here . Staff are wonderful ,bar on the beach ,pool and yummy food and cocktails. Basically everything you need to have a great stay. Also best pĩna colada’s on the island . Will definitely be back

We had a great stay at Castaway which is in a great and handy location. We got a great price on Wotif. The room had all we needed. A comfortable bed, air con (is a must have for us), a ceiling fan, a modern bathroom/toilet and a pool on site. There was a good view to the beach with the restaurant metres away from our room, not noisy at all and occasionally busy. There was a bonfire on the Sunday we were there with quite a few people congregated watching the sunset. The free wifi at the restaurant was very good. We had no roosters crowing in the morning which was a plus but there's a few local dogs barking and fighting that can wake you at night. The continental breakfast is not a buffet but a hamper provided to the room and topped up when you choose to. We thought it was a good idea and a great way to minimise food wastage. All the staff were pleasant and our rooms were cleaned when required. Note: No cleaning is done on Sundays. A couple of issues. There is minimal parking on site if you hire a car. Another issue which is not the fault of the property, was that one of restaurant employees (who are castaway workers) was smoking near our room and the odour drifted inside. There is an open beach the same distance but in the opposite direction. Go there instead!

Upon arriving, I looked around and thought ‘what have I booked?’ I stayed in one of the beach front bungalows, it was neat and cosy. The bed sheets were fresh which I was so grateful for. I had everything I needed in the room. The waiting/kitchen staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, considerate and caring. Special mention to Vani & Feraz. The first couple of days the cleaning of my room was average, then another cleaner made up for the negative, I felt comfortable with the cleaning. Probably wouldn’t have hurt to use some cleaning products in the bathroom though. The shower drain needed to be cleared of hair. Castaway is cosy, but very tired. Not attractive to look at, but as I said, my opinions started to change for the longer you are there you become used to it. Not much of an area to swim in the beach out front as coral blocks most of it. The water was beautiful though. It was very reasonably priced so I guess you get what you pay for. I stayed for 9 nights.

Mycket prisvärt rent och trevligt hotell

Mycket trevligt och rent hotell med sköna sängar. Frukosten bestod av en frukostkorg som vi fick på rummet med juice, rostbröd, mjölk, flingor och bananer, samt smör, jordnötssmör, sylt som pålägg. Kaffe och te fanns också på rummet. Fick låna snorkel utrustning under vår vistelse. Fanns även en kajak att låna det gjorde vi inte. Restaurangen som låg nere vi stranden var kanon jätte trevlig personal och god mat. Wi-Fi fanns nere vid stranden och restaurang dock inte på rummet.

Unfortunately the resort had issues with its sewerage and water and our room seemed to get the brunt of it with a terrible smell in our room, on one occasion it was so bad we couldnt sleep. We did report this to reception and they said they would inform the Manager. We never heard from the manager, nor heard what was being done about it. We had to again go to reception. We spoke to the manager who said they were waiting on the plumber - still never received an apology. Very disappointing. We also had no water on two occasions. On checkout the Manager did say everything was sorted (we were there 2 weeks!) and did comment we had "a bit of an up and down stay" but still no apology! The resort staff however were lovely. We did, overall, enjoy our holiday.

Was not a great experience. Breakfast was a joke we got a a box of cerial and loaf of bread. Having a breakfast buffet on the beach would have been beautiful. Pool and accommodation needs a revamp.

Great place to stay at while you’re in Raro. Staff are friendly & kind, even allowed us to check out at a later time due to our flight being at night. Amenities are nice and area is convenient, with great restaurant and bar downstairs and easy access to the beach.
