Price was good but property was subpar. Room was old and worn out. Blackout drapes didn’t cover the window. Fridge barely kept contents cool. Not enough pods for the coffee machine. Would not book here again.

I cannot stress how poor this place is. The staff on reception to the breakfast where just poor. In fact the most helpful staff member was the maintenance guy who had to deal with an issue in the room. The location of the hotel is not in a particularly nice area.

Unfortunately this wasn’t a very good place to stay. Non smoking rooms and rest of property still smelled like cigarette smoke. Dirty room, carpet stains, not vacuumed, pills on floor, left over items from previous guest, stained duvet, bug in bathroom. Limited tv channels, no Netflix and dirty room phone. Front desk service was okay, but could have been more customer service friendly. Cigarette butts all over outside property and irresponsible dog owners leaving poop in the grass. There was a lot of unhoused people passing through the parking lot. The included breakfast was edible, but not fancy my any means. Toast, cereal, yogurt, some fruit, eggo waffles, sausages and eggs? The breakfast ladies were friendly. I really wouldn’t stay here unless I was super desperate.

Great Value In Red Deer

This hotel offered great value in the heart of Red Deer. The piping in the room was a tad bit loud, but that was the only drawback. The bed was very comfy, check-in was seamless, and the included breakfast was warm and delicious.

The room was clean, beds were comfortable. (the good)..... We tried to check in a little early but we were told no. So, we went to our event and dinner and got to the hotel at 9pm to check in. Now, (the bad). The hotel is in a sketchy area of Red Deer, there is a homeless shelter across the street. When we arrived at the hotel at 9pm there was no one present at the front desk, we had to wait for several minutes before someone came from the back, she seemed annoyed with us for whatever reason. I have never had to wait a any hotel to check in and found it disconcerning that the desk was unattended.. Just when we had completed 2 check ins, a real sketchy guy walks in the lobby and approches the desk saying he wants a room, and he has no ID and he wants to pay cash. the desk clerk kicks him out and he was kinda hanging around in front of the hotel...This freaked out my 13 year old grandaughter who was afraid that he could come back in when no one was at the desk, and no security in the lobby. My suggestion for the hotel would be to hire a security person for the lobby and lot a night...too bad, as the room was fine and not expensive.
