Nice central hotel within walking distance of attr

Nice hotel, tasty breakfast, very friendly staff always willing to help you out. Room basic but more than adequate. It's in a good location to walk to all the attractions in Reykjavik.

Central and convenient

Great hotel close to all amenities

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to everything bus terminal 3 minutes away but local sights within walking distance and tour bus pick up is available from this hotel
Hotel staff excellent, on several occasions they checked on pick up times for tours. They were always very informative giving clear and accurate directions to sights and best way to get there. Also advice on eating places. Breakfast was awesome and hotel very clean. We had an early morning flight home and they supplied us with a lunch bag that was a nice welcome touch. For a city break this hotel is exactly what you need.

Great hotel

Hotel was a great base for a short stay in Iceland. Close to the church and shops, in fact we could see the church from our room. The hotel was clean throughout and the buffet breakfast was pretty good. Staff were very nice and helpful. Didn't eat at the restaurant as quite expensive, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Absolutely fantastic trip

My friend and I stayed here for four nights and we were very keen impressed with the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They gave us information on local amenities and gave a very good recommendation for our Northern Lights tour. When we arrived we were given a twin room as requested but only a double sheet over both beds and when we explained our needs it was very quickly and efficiently dealt with. The rooms were adequate for us and kept clean to a high standard, as was the whole hotel. The shower was compact and a little on the small side. The breakfast had a good range and we dined here one evening which was very nice. I would also recommended their cocktails, they were very good and the happy hour made them even more tempting! The lady behind the bar in particular was excellent and very hard working. The location was excellent, very close to the main town and within easy reach of the seafront and harbour. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back.

Amazing way to spend New Years Eve

My son and I had such a fabulous holiday in Iceland.. The hotel was clean & staff were extremely helpful & friendly.. So much so we have arranged for a member to come to UK and stay with us during the summer! Loved our experience! Thankyou all so much for making our New Year special! My son is 18 and thoroughly enjoyed it too!

A fabulous time.

Myself and a friend stayed here for a 'girly holiday' and we were both impressed with the hotel. It was very reasonably priced, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful, particularly when it came to booking activities. The room was clean and quiet and very comfortable. We could definitely stay here again.

Great 2 day stay

Stayed here for 2 days before joining a 5 day tour. Great location just round the corner from the main street full of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. A 20 minute walk in the other direction brings you to a fantastic swimming/spa pool. In our opinion a 'must do' in Reykjavik. Friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast with a selection of hot & cold. Daily 'happy hour' in the bar . Ate in the restaurant once and the food was lovely. Small bathroom but folding doors on shower created more space. Would definitely book this hotel again. No negatives whatsover.

Perfect for a cheap break

Great hotel for the price! Friendly staff always happy to help with booking busses/excursions or advice for where to eat. Room was basic: warm, comfy bed and clean bathroom. On the small/basic side, but I didn't go to Reykyavic to stay indoors! Only negative is the sulphur smell from the water, but learning how the water in Iceland is heated, no surprise and it didn't ruin anything. Breakfast is simply & plentiful..considering how expensive everything is in Iceland, you can't knock the breakfast for a freebie. Very good value for money in my opinion.
