The room itself is very small. No room to walk around bed or no nightstand. It is well equipped with full kitchen which is nice but I can't imagine staying here for more than a few days.

We got locked out of the building multiple times. Other people also had issues getting in. The issue wasn't resolved until late in the day. The room was quite stuffy and got hot. Positives: the cleaning lady was very helpful and was trying her best to solve the locked door issue. Place has easy parking and the cafe below it was great.

I wish there were more than just a few parking spots out front. Sometimes had to park far away and walk back. Other than that, the hotel was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful room with modern amenities.

There is no front desk and only cleaning staff on the premises. Mark says you get the email with the codes prior to arrival. Great location in central Reykjavik. Lots of good restaurants. I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

I was a bit sceptical about staying in a hotel with no check-in desk or staff, just an access code sent by email, but this all worked very well and I was able to come and go with ease and leave my luggage in the store-room after checkout. I could see this arrangement presenting security poroblems in a country with more crime than Iceland, though. Those travellers wanting advice about attractions, transport etc. would miss that human touch but it suited me. The room was very well set out and had a fully-equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom and a table and chairs. Those who want to take the lower-cost option of buying food in a supermarket and preparing it in their room rather than eating out can easily do so. The novel lighting arrangement on the ceiling above the bed - a string of nine black wires with bulbs on the end - did look a bit like a big spider so I don't know if any arachnophobes would be put off. All in all this was a very good hotel and I would use it again.

We spent our first two nights in Iceland here. It was a good choice for arriving late from the airport and was still quite walkable. Although more convenient places certainly exist, we didnt mind the walk. After 8 it was difficult to find eating options but that was true in all of Iceland so isnt indicative of this neighborhood in specific. Check in was easy and well communicated. Hotel specific parking was a bit tricky to find in back but we easily found street parking.

Need explanation for the process checking in

The hotel is great. However the communication for payment and check in needs to be improved. I was hesitated to pay the hotel with a link without much explanation before arriving the hotel. No one is at the hotel to assist and it could be a bit frustrating. It could be better if an email explaining how the process is like to be sent to me prior to the stay.

The room was well designed and very clean, the bathroom in was gorgeous, and bakery located on the first floor was divine. There is not lobby or front desk, you enter with a code provided to you over email, however staff is easy reach with a phone call. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Reykjavik.
