Hotel staff was kind and helpful and centrally located. Room was clean, but showed signs of heavier wear and tear (although this can be expected for a hotel located in the city center). Would certainly return again!

The Skuggi was in a perfect location in the city for access to pretty much everything necessary. Restaurants and Shopping was just around the corner. Parking was great after we were told that there was underground parking specifically for the hotel. Hotel was nicely designed interiorly and made us feel a bit of comfort far away from home. Our room was comfortable and roomy. Bed was was very comfy and blackout window treatments were perfect.

The hotel was easy to get to with airport transfer service. The bed was comfortable with the dual duvet. The breakfast was amazing! Truly amazing.

Very central, staffed 24/7 great free breakfast. Staff were friendly and the rooms were fine. It was difficult to cool the rooms down when it was hot outside but it was a nice quiet stay.

Third stay here, love this hotel. Simple but very clean and wonderful staff, great location with walkability. The breakfast included is wonderful and has a wide variety of options, probably our favorite part about staying here. We will stay here again on our next trip back, highly recommend.

Overall good experience. Clean room and great location. Best benefit for us was free parking in a central location. Regarding parking we were able to find available parking each time we went in and out, that being said we did see multiple times the parking lot completely full so there is the possibility you may not get free parking. Additionally for a tip when you check and want parking you need to check in and get your key first, in order to check in you need all guests passports.

The staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast served was buffet style. There was a variety of choices. The room was comfortable and clean. There was no dresser, so be prepared for that. However, there was plenty of space to put a suitcase to live from that and there was a tall shelving unit that you could use to store items. Be aware, while in the room you will need to put a room key in a slot for your lights to work. This was my first time encountering that, but it was not a problem. The only negative, and this will matter ONLY if you must be able to fill the sink to clean something, you cannot stop the sink. I use a CPAP and should clean some components daily. It was difficult to do that. Would the negative stop me from staying there if I was in Reykjavik again? NO - it would not! I would stay there again.

Overall a great stay! The property had a large comfy bed, kettle, table space and chairs. The included breakfast from 7-10 was good with variety and when we had to check out early in the morning, we could request a breakfast bag to go. Good blackout curtains though room can be a bit dark. Only downsides were early check in wasn't available and the water pressure is a bit low.
