This was the highest rated hotel in the area which is why I chose it. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Nice hotel, nice room but TINY. No closet. Not even coffee in the room!! And the ceiling badly needs insulation. We could hear very loud banging, stomping, things being dragged and dropped, their tv, and even their voices!! When the hotel was so empty, why put someone a room above someone else! The hotel was fairly new yet the towels were horrible, old, dingy, thin as can be, and only two in the room. Breakfast was good!

We stay at the avid hotel Richmond North every winter on our travels to Florida. Clean, comfortable rooms at great value. Frankie at the check-in desk is the best! Personable, pleasant and accessible for any need including recommendations on local restaurants and businesses. Highly recommend "the avid" all around!

Ive stayed twice, just weeks apart. The first stay was awesome! Very clean, room smelled and appeared clean. The stay over the Christmas holiday featured a very clean bed but the floor was so filthy that I went to Target and bought hard-soled slippers. We were kept up all night by a man building something on the floor above us because that had to be a hammer he was using at 3am. I'm leaving a 4 star rating based on the front desk receptionists as well as breakfast manager's friendliness. Will I stay here again? I will, but Ill ask for a room on the bottom floor or the very top floor.
