Fridays events regarding the HVAC situation was unfortunately a sticking point for us. We were a couple that was getting married at Common House, and planned on using Quirk as our homebase starting on Friday. We were denied access to our room until after some of our events started, and not offered a secured luggage area in the meantime. When the HVAC situation was initially fixed, it did not get cool enough Friday-evening leading to an ultimately sweaty sleep. While we wished we just stayed at home for Friday, things got back on track Saturday onward. The team was helpful during all this, but in a chaotic way that didn't help with the wedding stress.

The city of Richmond had water boil for 1/2 of my stay. Brilliant that there were RO already on each floor. Staff was friendly and professional and helpful

The aesthetic of the property is amazing. Very reminiscent of a Wes Anderson film. Hotel was very clean and bright. The only issues I ran into was first the noise level while in my room. You can hear everything out in the hall. Second, the temperature of the water in the shower plus not be adjusted. It was very hot and no matter how much I turned the knob to cold, it just stayed the same temperature. The staff was ok. Not super friend but not rude. I’d also say the professionalism was a bit lacking for an upscale hotel.

As its name implies, this hotel is very quirky ! Decorated mainly in pink , with lots of interesting furniture, accents and art. The staff was friendly on first glance, but a tad careless. I was traveling with my dog. I was given 2 keys to my room and none of them work! I had to haul my dog and my luggage down 3 floors again, after an already tiresome day being in traffic for hours, to have them fixed. There 2 guys at the reception desk that day, both chatty but apparently incompetent. The decor in the room was cute, with strawberries painted on the walls. I couldn't use the coffee machine as the mugs provided were too big for that specific machine. The restaurant offerings were interesting. I'd definitely stay here again if I'll travel in the summertime, as I've heard good things about the rooftop (not opened at the end of November when I was there)

A joyous visit

I felt joyous when stepping into the hotel, all the light, pink, and great art. It just oozed happiness. Everyone we encountered were gracious in that southern hospitality way. Our room was quiet and just the right size. Being a dog lover, I enjoyed all the dog art especially.
