Honestly, for the price and oceanfront view, worth it. They screwed up by saying 8th floor was considered a “high view.” I had to ask twice about that and three days into the trip, they offered to move but that felt pointless. For a 39 story building, felt a little pathetic. Have more tiers. Overall, there were a few amazing staff, I believe Joffrey was one and I wish I could remember the other that remembered my name! However, I tried to call room service a few times and no one picked up so it was challenging and pathetic to find more toilet paper and towels.

Great stay! Right across the street from Copacabana Beach. Helpful and friendly staff. Great Spa experience too. We hired a tour guide through the concierge desk, Newton, to show us around Lapa, Santa Theresa, etc. He was excellent, kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. Very happy with our experiences at the Hilton Copacabana Beach!

This hotel is advertised as a 5-star, but it is absolutely not. At best, it feels like a 3-star. The rooms are filthy and very outdated. We found a moldy, questionable stain on our bedsheet, and the bathroom had visible mold and a strong sewage smell. The towels were old, rough, and yellowed. The furniture in the room was disgusting, full of questionable stains. We couldn’t even sit on it without feeling uncomfortable. Everything felt dirty and poorly maintained. When we checked in, no one gave us any information. We had no idea about the breakfast hours, pool hours, how many restaurants were available, or if beach umbrellas were included. We had to figure everything out on our own. The rooftop and the lobby look nice and give the impression that the hotel is high-end, but it’s just a trick to make you think the rest of the hotel is just as good. Once you get to your room, the reality hits hard. We booked this place to enjoy a relaxing vacation, but it turned out to be stressful and disappointing. We will not be coming back.
