We booked 5 nights at this hotel the first night the door for our room was coming out of the door frame and the lock and door handle was broken so we switched rooms, the second room. We woke up to bedbugs crawling all over our bed so I had to switch rooms again. The staff was really nice, but they also kind of gave the attitude that they didn’t care the free breakfast in the morning is an added bonus. The location is prime. The rooms are old and outdated and needed a renovation

I tried to make reservation at their restaurant. The restaurant staff did not understand English or the word reservation. Told me to come to the restaurant at 8pm and unexpectedly told me I had to make a reservation and it is fully booked. My daughter, husband and I had to source other foods during New Year's Eve and the only place close is the walk-in ACAI dessert bar and this is our dinner.

Hotel is neglected, no personnel cleaning the public areas.. Pool area was full of garbage from the night of New years (I left on January 3rd, so the garbage was there for 2 entire days). Not even the pool was clean, water dirty and cloudy; again no staff attending this issue. New years is big in Rio ad for that reason hotel should be at it’s highest standard. At least clean.

Out of the five days we stayed, we only had one warm shower (on the first day). We informed the staff and were told someone would come to fix it, but no one ever did. The room was poorly maintained. The bed covers had holes, and housekeeping did little more than make the bed — the room and bathroom were not properly cleaned. To make things worse, at check-out, the hotel charged us for items we never consumed. We paid simply to avoid wasting more time arguing with unhelpful staff. Overall, this place lacks basic maintenance, cleanliness, and honesty. Avoid if you value comfort or professionalism.

The hotel looks much nicer in the photos than in person. The staff was not friendly, and the facilities feel old; several outlets didn’t work, and the room was dirty when we arrived. The shower doesn’t provide truly hot or truly cold water—just “lukewarm.” On the positive side, the breakfast was good and quite varied. Overall, the experience was just ok.

The room wasn’t clean and was full of sand when we first arrived. No blankets in the room, no iron, no hairdryer… Not even shower soap. The room didn’t have a view and it wasn't mention on the reservation. We were facing AC machines. My mom arrived to see my kids, but they didn’t allow her into the bedroom or on the rooftop so we could open the presents, etc. We needed to stay in the lobby amehile the kids were open the presents. There was a construction happening on the hotel rooftop, which was very loud, starting at 9am sharp. No warning was given about that, not when we booked, not when we called the hotel to confirm our check-in time, and not even when we checked in at the reception. Staff was kind and polite. Breakfast was good but again, small saloon and crowded. Location is good and that's it.

Easily one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Old, dirty, stains and holes in sheets, smells, bugs, some of the staff was rude, put us in a room up a flight of stairs with no elevator access. Could easily list at least 5 more things wrong with this hotel. Fortunately we only booked this to hold us over from checking out at the hotel we stayed in for the week and our 11pm flight. If I was truly intending to stay overnight I would’ve just ate the cost and booked another room. If you’re thinking about booking JUST DONT DO IT!!!!
