Just a short drive away is the traditional market town of Thirsk, famous for its connections to James Herriot and boasting independent shops, cosy tearooms, and a bustling weekly market. To the north lies Ripon, with its magnificent cathedral and picturesque market square, while further afield you can discover the spa town of Harrogate, known for elegant gardens, boutique shopping, and cosy tea rooms.
