WELCOME TO AÑORANZA where you STOP LONGING and START LIVING!!

From the moment our guests open the door to Añoranza and see the view of the reef, we want to create an experience they will be longing to return to. Every room, and even shower, at Añoranza has a view of the reef and the amazing shades of blue water that surrounds it. Our Customer Experience Manager, Dalia, lives on property and will be your personal concierge during your stay. She can also be booked as your private chef.

We offer fiber optic internet so if you need to work and be on Zoom/Teams calls we have you covered.

If you’re looking for a true Caribbean island experience, Añoranza is the place for you. If you are looking for a place like Cabo or Tulum, we’re not the destination for you. Leave your designer bags, shoes, jewelry, and clothes at home. All you need to pack are swimsuits, cover-ups, rash guards and flip flops.

Also, if you are looking for nightlife, we recommend booking in West End or one of the destinations mentioned above. Don’t get us wrong, we love Cabo and Tulum but you don’t come to the east side of Roatán for that experience. There are no restaurants within walking distance but you can kayak to a few restaurants or drive 5 minutes to the villages of Oakridge or Punta Gorda to get authentic Caribbean island food. If you don’t want to leave Añoranza we offer full size kitchens for you to cook or hire our private chef to cook.

2 Bedroom | 3 Bath Villa with Private Pool: (4 Adults)

2nd FLOOR:
There are 2 suites on the top floor that over look the reef and the town of Punta Gorda in the distance to the West. The first suite offers guests a king bed, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, 43” flat screen SmartTV, walk-in closet, washer and dryer, safe, en suite bathroom with ceiling fan, two shower heads, two vanities and a soaking tub inside the shower where you can relax and enjoy the view. It also has sliding glass doors that open up to a large balcony, with a ceiling fan. It's the perfect, private, spot to enjoy your morning coffee or sunsets over the reef.

The second suite offers guests a king bed, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, 43” flat screen SmartTV, 2 large built-in closets, safe, en suite bathroom with ceiling fan, standing shower, and two vanities. It also has sliding glass doors that opens up to a private balcony.

1st FLOOR:
The 1st floor is where you'll more than likely spend most of your time. When you open the main door to the villa, you will be greeted by the view of the reef and the infinity pool. As you step into Añoranza you will be in the outdoor living room. Then, on your right you step into the open concept, air-conditioned, living room and kitchen along with another full bath. High Speed Wi-Fi throughout.

The living room has plenty of comfortable seating and a 55" flat screen SmartTV with access to Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video as well as a DVD player with DVDs. Unfortunately, Hulu does not work in Honduras. There’s also a Bluetooth receiver that you can connect your phone to and play your music on the 2 speakers inside and 4 speakers outside. Make sure you have your own music downloaded or Spotify because Pandora does not work in Honduras. The kitchen offers a full size fridge, dishwasher, and gas stove.

There is a private well on property as well as a whole house UV filter and reverse osmosis system at the sink for cooking and drinking water. The well water is tested annually and you can drink the water from any faucet in the house. Also, there is a dining table that seats 8. To the right of the kitchen is the bar area with a full size purified ice-maker plus a wine and beer fridge.

The entire ocean view wall of the living room is sliding glass doors that open completely to take in the Caribbean views. The infinity pool is just steps away creating an indoor/outdoor experience. There’s a large propane gas grill in the outdoor kitchen to cook your fresh caught fish or lobster.

Casita 1 + Plunge Pool: (2 Adults)
The Casita is located next to the Villa and offers guests an open concept king size bed, living room, and full kitchen area. The kitchen has a gas range, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, blender and all cooking appliances and utensils you should need. If you decide you do not want to cook, we can set up our personal chef, Dalia, for one special meal or your entire stay.

We also have our own well on property along with a UV filter for the entire Casita and a reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink so you can drink the water and brush your teeth with it.

The living room has a custom built couch that is also a daybed so you can curl up and watch TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ or a movie on our smart TV. Unfortunately, Hulu is not available in Honduras unless accessed through Disney+. There is also a Sonos speaker that you can connect your phone to and play music. Make sure you have music downloaded or a Spotify account because Pandora is not available in Honduras.

Just off the king bedroom area is the bathroom with double vanity and a shower with two shower heads. You'll love the view from the shower. There is also a washer and dryer in the closet for guests to use but, we do not provide laundry detergent. Most of our guests just bring a few pods or buy some at the grocery store, Eldon's, on the way to Añoranza.

A few steps from the bed are sliding doors that open to an oversized patio with 2 chairs, a table, and a hammock. But the best part is the plunge pool so you can decide if you will be watching sunsets from the pool, the hammock or a chair.
Casita 2 + Plunge Pool: (2 Adults)
Casita 2 is located between Casita 3 and the Villa. It has an open concept king size bed, living room, and full kitchen area. The kitchen has a gas range, dishwasher, full size fridge, coffee maker, blender and all cooking appliances and utensils you should need. If you decide you do not want to cook, we can set up our personal chef, Dalia, for one special meal or your entire stay.

We also have our own well on property along with a UV filter for the entire Casita plus a reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink so you can drink the water and brush your teeth with it.

The living room has a comfy couch so you can curl up and watch TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ or a movie on our smart TV. You should be able to connect to Hulu through Disney+ but the Hulu App does not work directly. There is also a Bluetooth speaker that you can connect your phone to and play music. Make sure you have music downloaded or a Spotify account because Pandora is not available in Honduras.

Just off the king bedroom area is the bathroom with an oversized sink and a shower with a view you won’t want to leave.

A few steps from the bed are sliding doors that open to an oversized patio with 2 lounge chairs and a table. But the best part is the plunge pool so you can decide if you will be watching sunsets from the pool or a lounge chair.The stairway to the water is shared with the guests staying at the Casita 3 (if booked) and navigates down a cliff and through the trees. There are 4 landings with benches on the way down where you can stop and take in the view or a sunset. Once you are at the water you will see our 200 ft dock with separate seating areas is also shared with the Casita (if booked). It’s a great place to take in a sunset or tie off one of our floats and just relax on the water. You can take one of our 4 complimentary, 2 person, kayaks to explore the reef or mangroves. We also have 2 stand up paddle boards that can be rented for $10 a day.

Añoranza's goal is to be as energy efficient as possible. We ask our guests to help by using the AC only when in the room and not when any doors are open. We appreciate lights and fans off when not needed. You will notice that we are one of the few properties, on Roatan, that does not charge guests extra for electricity used.

As mentioned, the water comes from our well and is scare on the island so conservation is always encouraged. Sheets and towels will not be changed everyday. If you stay longer than 7 days, the Villa will be cleaned and all linens and towels every 7 days by our cleaning staff. Thank you in advance for helping us conserve the Earth’s vital resources!
