Stayed for 3 nights. We decided to have housekeeping only after the 2nd night and was rather disappointed when we return to our room. Garbage bins were not emptied, coffee pouch, shampoo and body wash was not replenished. The quality of the towels remain to be desired. The service at the restaurant, however, was excellent. The dining room was very clean and spacious, food was pretty good and reasonably priced .

Booked a “comfort “ room which was the cheapest so based on previous reviews did not have high expectations. Old decor , bed not very comfortable, nightstand only on one side of the bed. Pedestal sink so no place to put your toiletries. If you want a better experience you have to pay for it!

Lovely Ocean Front hotel

Ocean View is nestled perfectly, down by the water in Rocky Harbour. Its exterior is gorgeous! The interior is lovely and all we needed for the 2 nights we were there. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Crappy that breakfast isn't included in the price of stay, because for what you get, the breakfast is quite pricey. $60 after tip for breakfast for myself and my husband. Our toddler daughter just ate some of my waffles. The food was delicious though. Same with at the Ancor Pub. All in all great experience! Short drive to Lobster Head Cove, some Gros Morne walks and the visitor centre. Definitely recommend!

Couldn’t have found a better location. We booked an ocean view room and the view from our room was amazing. The restaurant was only open for breakfast during our stay, if we came a week later in the season we could have had the pleasure of the band in the pub but despite that the Anchor Pub was great for a drink and our bartender/waitress was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, she gave some great tips on where to get the best views of the area. Can’t wait to come back!

Room was freshly painted and renovated all niceand new. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were able to watch an important NHL playoff game on tv . The upstairs restaurant serves higher end meals.
