The moment we opened the door to our room the smell of used ashtray or stale air was very strong. We opened the windows, put on the air, but the smell remained the whole night. Also, the toilets need to be upgraded to comfort height for elderly or those with health conditions.

Great for families

Perfect for a family as the pool and waterslide is viewable from the breakfast area- allowing 1/2 the family to carry on and the ones that want to hang back to still be part of it. They have pull out couches as additional beds. Best for kids that are 10 and up as the slide empties into the pool so they need to be able to clear the area and be slide savvy vs the slides that end on the side of the pool like the microtel.

Hotel was clean, staff were very friendly. The pool area was kept well. The hotel hosts a lot of employees from a the local industries who have early starts in the morning. Our room happened to be next to the parking lot so we were kept awake by their work vehicles starting up and the beeping of reversing machinery.

I booked and paid for a two bedroom suite but was given a one bedroom with a king size bed in the living room area. It worked okay but did not get the room I paid for. Breakfast was okay but overcrowded and not enough equipment so waiting to get what you wanted was long or near impossible. Very few tables.

All the staff were very friendly. A great fresh selection of breakfast options. Linen’s were freshl and white. Had good fun with the grandkids at the pool and waterside. Boston pizza and Tim Horton’s are very close and walkable.

Most of the staff was nice but the water didn’t work for the majority of the evening and our bathroom door didn’t close. We weren’t offered any compensation for a basic necessity being unavailable for part of our stay and us and others got some attitude from reception for asking about it. Basic, clean hotel room as well
