If you're OK with walking, this is the perfect location to stay in Rome. It's far enough away from the Vatican & Colosseum that you get some semblance of peace and quiet during the evenings. The Vatican and Trevi fountain are about a 5 mile round trip walk that has plenty of sites to see in between. The hotel is clean, room was excellent, the morning breakfast buffet was fresh and well stocked with many different items. Hotel staff was polite and attentive. I most certainly recommend Albergo Etico Roma to anyone spending time in Rome.

The staffing was excellent, rooms clean and in very good condition. The lack of evening cooking on some evenings was unfortunate when the rain fell and shopping facilities were limited close at hand. Otherwise the hotel was on very good. I would point out that compared with Rome Belfast has an excellent purveyor of Havana and other cigars in Miss Moran's off High Street. It puts all the tobacconists I visited to shame, even the one recommended by an Italian gentleman.

This hotel is not very close to the main attractions for walking, but ok for cab service. The room and shower are a little small. The overall property is well maintained, close to the river and the breakfast great

Staff was most excellent and helpful as we had a nightmare with Lufthansa. Ate dinner and buffet breakfast both were very good. Walike back from Coliseum about 40 minutes. Woul not heatate to rebook.

We stayed 5 nights at Albergo Etico Roma with our toddler and had a truly wonderful experience. Our room (#303) was spacious and conveniently located next to the elevator, making stroller access very easy. The extra space was perfect for our child to run around and feel comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a fantastic location: just a 10-minute walk to Piazza del Popolo, about 20 minutes to the Vatican, and 20 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps. There is supermarket right across the bridge called, Todis Rione Prati which has everything for our toddler and local specialty food. What made our stay most memorable was the staff — from the front desk to the cleaning and kitchen teams. Everyone was extremely helpful, professional, and genuinely friendly, which made us feel at home. This was our fifth time in Rome, and we can confidently say Albergo Etico is one of the best places we’ve stayed. We will happily return on our next visit!
