The hotel in general is clean as well as the room. Enough towels and the bedding was comfortable. The TV had a lot of options of channels. The Hotel is an old building, so it has its charm, room is small and not too much sun light but again, clean. There IS NOT COFFEE anywhere in the hotel common areas nor in the room. The hair dryer is very old, it's ok to dry your hair BUT if you are looking to get a style you better bring your own. This hotel is family own, what I like, a lady received us, and she was nice. The other members were not very friendly, very serious and they didn't talk too much. Not even a smile. I guess because they live in the same building, they don't have a specific dress attire as regular hotel employees. The hotel is about 15min walk away from the major tourist attractions and activities in general, and if you are planning to walk to those places there is a lot of hills up and down, so be ready for a workout.

Great stay in Rome!

Hotel Golden is a charming family-run hotel! The location is safe, convenient, and Guiseppe and family have great recommendations! Would easily stay here again!

This is a small family run hotel. Nothing like a “big box” American hotel. The lobby and hotel are on the 2nd floor with access via stairs or a classic gate elevator. (Very cool). This is like a combo between a boutique hotel and B&B, minus the breakfast. What really sets it apart is the staff. It is owned and run by a family and while we were there we felt like their American cousins who had come for a visit. You can find fancier hotels, but unlikely to find in where you matter as much.

This hotel is family ran. Very friendly and helpful staff that speak several languages including English, Spanish, and Italian. The host even called a taxi for our super early checkout for our return flight. Hotel was very quiet and a short walk to Spanish stairs. Lots of eating options in the area and it’s located right outside a big park. Wish we had booked this place for more time.

This is an old building in down town Rome. Built in 1820’s. The hotel is family owned and was comfortable. Owner was very accommodating and offered some great local tips and advise. Saved us a bunch of euro’s. This is not the usual large hotels we were used to staying in. Great place to stay overnight while we waited for our cruise.

My wife and I recently stayed 3 nights at Hotel Golden. What a lovely experience! This is a family-run hotel and it shows in everything they do. The front desk staff were polite and helpful and spoke excellent English. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel is in a lovely neighbourhood with many great coffee shops and restaurants within a few blocks. We felt safe and secure at all times of the day and night. The building is incredibly charming with an old-world feel that we really loved. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and can recommend it without question.

Very lovely clean and quiet hotel. We stayed in the family room as we were 3 people. Very spacious. Take the via veneto exit from the subway. Be aware it’s an incline walk to the hotel. Not too bad but just something to be aware of. Safe area.

My best travel decision yet

This is a basic hotel. Nothing fancy. Some might even call it a little dated. What sets them apart is their service. It is run by a dedicated family that takes such good care of their guests. Giuseppe was so kind to us when we had travel difficulties and went above board to solve them for us. Even after we had checked out! Such kindness is truly appreciated. I would heartily recommend this hotel to any traveling to Rome. And if I return to Rome, this is exactly where I hope to stay!
