Checkin was on the 5th floor. Our room was on 1st floor. Elevator small and verrrry slow; stairs were fine for me but I travel light. Room was on interior with window facing the inside building chute. Breakfast was one pastry and a beverage of your choice (coffee/tea/juice), delivered to your room at time of your choice.

Very friendly and helpful staff. 5 minute walk from train station. Close to major sites. Walked everywhere and always felt safe. Be aware of pick pockets in train station. Wore an anti-theft sling back on my front and had no issues.

The room was nice except for 2 major issues: 1) The room lock was very old as broken and took us 30 minutes of trying to open for a staff to condescendingy explain that it needs to be open a very specific way. This was very obnoxious and annoying 2) The ac did not work and the room was scorching. Besides that the room was alright.

While the beds may leave a guest a bit sore the warmth of the staff at Hotel Marcantonio will have you smiling! Friendly and helpful, even agreeing to secure our luggage before our room was ready so we were free to explore! I do have a warning for fellow foreigners such as myself (your bus tickets have an expiration time and if you are not able to meet that window you WILL be fined by some incredibly pushy rude borderline physically aggressive ATAC cops. What a fitting name to that company. $120 euro later, we will avoid ATAC services at all costs. 4.5 star for Marcantonio and-2 star for ATAC bus services which do not anywhere explain this "expiration issue". Buyer beware.

We booked 4 rooms for a one night stay. The rooms are extremely small. There are just 2 hooks on the wall for hanging the jackets. There is a closet but it is behind a table with 2 chairs. Need to push the chair into the table in order to open the closet. There is no floor space or any place to put the luggage. Have to use the bed as a platform to open the luggage. The rooms are outdated with large flowery prints covering the closet, headboard, end tables and lampshades. The window sills are cracked and dirty with old stains. The website indicated that luggage storage is available but never indicated that there is a 2 Euro charge for each piece of luggage being stored. Also the luggage is stored in the hallway and not in a secured room. One of the rooms had ants in it. Complained to the management. Only thing done was someone came and swept them away. The housekeeping team with ant spray was not available until the next morning. Also, the ceiling about 6-7 inches away from the window was dripping water after it rained. Another room had mold on the walls of the bathroom. The AC in another room was not working. Only an old fan was provided as a substitute. Not able to change rooms because the hotel was full. Will never return or recommend anyone to book this hotel.

Was extremely suprised to find that all the hype about the area aroundbTermini station is not a factor. Felt safe, staff was so helpful and great location- eat at the restaurants across the street and down one road. Do notnlisten to trip advisor about where to eat!
