Not sure how this is rated a four star hotel. There were stains on the couch and tons of dust accumulated on the carpet. None of the outlets would keep a plug in so I could not charge my devices. Bathroom is nice and breakfast is lovely though.

I liked it because there was an in person reception, lift, great internet access, near Roma Termini, free luggage storage because we came earlier. A beautiful roof top on the 5th floor overlooking the Santa Maria Mediogore basilica and sunset. Breakfast was included and it's in the rooftop, so relaxing and beautiful lots of food selection. Definetely coming back to Mecenate Palace Hotel. Highly recommended.

Unique, my window was right in front of the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major, beautiful, we had the opportunity to go to the Holy door!!! The Hotel is beautiful and service was great very close from the train station.

19 years ago we stayed at the Mecenate Palace Hotel and coming back was even better. The Rooftop Restaurant addition was great and Bar was wonderful as it was all those years ago. The improved elevator was so good and the gentlemen at the desk were so helpful and nice, another impressive improvement!!! If I made another trip to Rome I would stay at this Hotel again. Room much smaller than expected, photos and description deceptive - no double sink or nice view despite paying more for a premium room on high floor. Most inconvenient lack of plug sockets - the couple available after unplugging phone and tv were ancient looking with three small pins in a row - NOT standard 2-pin Italy/Europe sockets. Roof bar a complete rip off - €25 for cocktails and €10 for coke or water. Breakfast was nice. Location okay - Maria maggiore just over the road and colosseum 20 mins walk - but everything else was quite far to walk.
