The hotel is spotless. We stayed at the beginning and end of our trip touring Italy. 30 Min uber to airport and train station is within sight of the hotel. Great rooftop bar and breakfast area.

The room itself was nice. First room we were given was hot and would not cool down. So they did move us to a new room which was considerably cooler. The cleaning staff was all wonderful. The same goes for the bell hops. They were exceptional. And the rooms were very very clean. The downside here is the breakfast. It’s is not great. It is not even good. You can make a meal of it. But none of it is good. It’s ok at best. The coffee machine is TERRIBLE!!! Tried several different types to make something that was ok. So instead we started to walk to a cafe down the street and pay.

We stayed at The Independent for our first two nights in Rome and absolutely loved it. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The location couldn’t be better—just a five-minute walk to Termini Station—and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the service was truly top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was that the gym was under construction during our visit. On the bright side, it encouraged me to go for a run outside (tip: go early, as it gets hot quickly!). We loved our stay so much that we ended up booking The Independent again for the last night of our trip before flying home. Highly recommend!
