Our family has stayed with this hotel multiple times and it feels like there has been an ownership or management change. One of the worst stays. Elevator was out of service on arrival. Staff was uncaring and not helpful. Left us on our own to carry all our luggage up the stairs to our room. No help at all. In fact staff found it entertaining and funny ! Breakfast was horrible. We prepaid for it and when we let them know it was disappointing and poor quality, they wouldn’t let us cancel. We were forced to continue to pay for it even though we would not be eating. Staff at every level was not helpful at all. From assisting with transportation, to shopping and food, just terrible attitude. Sad to see this happening to The Major.

Really liked this hotel. Very attentive staff. Comfortable bed Coffee making facilities in room Good breakfast (although Expedia had only booked one of us and we had to pay €25 for the extra breakfasts (€75). This was a hefty amount we weren’t expecting. The front desk said this had happened quite often with Expedia. Able to leave luggage on last day.

This property was really great. Rooms were clean, modern, and spacious. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because (1) walls are thin (2) elevator was incredibly slow. I would consider staying here again — the rooftop bar/restaurant was nice

My favourite experience

For my first night in Rome, it was a beautiful and pleasant experience. Delicious rooftop patio and they even give a four hour free bike ride for me and my wife enjoyed to the MAX. Definitely a great stay for your first time in Rome, especially if it’s with your wife. Stefano really took good care of us.

Upon arrival and check-in, the staff delivered our luggage to our rooms. Staff was very helpful. Hotel is modern. There was an elevator. Rooms seem secure and newly updated. Bathroom had Lanvin products. Bed was comfortable. View from room was the street. Wifi had no problems.
