The Tmark hotel is conveniently located across the main entrance to the Vatican Museum. With very good lunch and dining places within a reasonable walking distance and good cab service. They also offer an inhouse restaurant with limited service since it closes after breakfast. I did not have a chance to eat there so I can not say anything about the quality of their food or service. Their staff (consierge) was friendly and service oriented. They can improve on shower space and TV programming.

The hotel was well situated opposite the entrance to the Vatican Museum, so very convenient starting point for a tour of the Vatican. The room was well presented, albeit quite basic. It was clean throughout and although a bit dated, was otherwise in reasonable condition. My only complaint was the noise within the room from the heating/ cooling system which lacked the ability to switch off. It caused quite a racket and this caused disrupted sleep. The other noise issue was from the road outside. The hotel mentions 'soundproof' rooms on the Expedia listing, but unfortunately this was not the case. The windows did not prevent traffic noise and noise from passing pedestrian entering the room, and when emergency vehicles passed with sirens sounding, it was quite alarming especially during the night. I wouldnt recommend a room facing the street!

The location is good for visiting the Vatican. The hotel staff did not tell us before our trip or when we checked in that the hotel did not have hot water. This was very problematic during our stay, as we couldn’t take hot showers in the winter. At the time of check out, they mentioned that this is an ongoing problem. They should have been transparent about this beforehand or reduced the price so we could decide if we wanted to stay here.

Location for all, great. Enthusiasm from staff poor, always on their phones, never engaged with us to see how our day was going. The room was lovely appointed ok. Tv had no English channels, no streaming and you could watch Italian porn. The roof top bar was ok, no draft beer and zero atmosphere .. food not available after their shocking breakfast .. why batch cook fried eggs and pile them high? Hot dogs as sausages! No one was bothered at check out so why say anything at all. Just won’t stay again.

Honestly staff was amazing and very accommodating when it came to transportation from cruise to hotel and then hotel to airport. They also let us leave our luggage so we could have time to tour around before check in.
