Beautiful hotel a short taxi ride to the City centre. Friendly and attentive staff fluent in multiple languages. Lovely pool area that never felt crowded. Pool was cold but great if you brave it for a cool down after lying in the sun. Large jacuzzi in a sub trap area was perfect temp for relaxing and cooling down. Unfortunate that only one set of jets working. My wife and I are looking forward to returning next year.

Amazing place to stay

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The service is second to none. The staff cannot do enough for you, they know your name and room number without looking it up, that is how personal the service is. Rome was amazing and we discovered a new wonder in the hotel Gran Melia

Good hotel near to main attractions

Hotel is in gerneral good. The hotel rooms are too expensive and small and if you book with view on the city- threre is no much of a view and changing was not possible. The minibar items are overcharged as well as the food in the restaurant and the dishes are not really good. The staff at the reception is in general very helpful. The location of the hotel is very good - 8' to the Vatican. The pool area is great with nice parc.

Achtung! 50 % der Zimmer ohne Aussicht

Location: Das Hotel liegt sehr gut. Vatikan und Trastevere, wie auch das Zentrum von Rom ist fußläufig zu erreichen
Im Reiseportal werden Grand Premium Zimmer angeboten mit dem Hinweis "Aussicht"! Vor Ort wird einem erklärt, dass diese Zimmer keine Aussicht haben. Der Blick aus dem Fenster mündet daher in einer düsteren Straßenschlucht, was angesichts des ohnehin ungünstigen Preis-/Leistungsverhältnisses unerträglich ist! Nur wenn man upgradet ( teuer) bekommt man ein ordentliches Zimmer/Suite mit freiem Blick in die Umgebung! Echt ärgerlich!

Das anfänglich zugeteilte Zimmer entsprach in Grösse und Mobiliar einer untergeordneten Zimmerkategorie. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns aber versichert, dass das Zimmer sehr wohl der gebuchten Kategorie entsprechen würde. Zudem sei das Hotel komplett ausgebucht, ein anderes Zimmer nur gegen Aufpreis erhältlich. Auf mehrfaches Nachfragen wurde uns dann doch noch ein anderes Zimmer gezeigt. Dieses war deutlich grösser, heller und entsprach auch von der Ausstattung der Beschreibungen und Bildern auf der Homepage. Dieser erste Eindruck prägte leider unsere Erfahrung vom Aufenthalt im Gran Melia Rome
