Outstanding hotel with personable staff. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. I loved the breakfast with eggs to order. It was a quick walk to the old city. Highly recommend this hotel and their outstanding hospitality.

Would have given 5 stars, except that we had 2 issues that had a negative impact on our stay. 1st, there is no elevator and we had to go up several flights of stairs with our luggage. We really struggled with that as we are 2 older women. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time so we could request a room on a lower floor. 2nd, we checked with the Front Desk the evening before our check out to settle our bill. We informed her we would be leaving at 4am. She assured us that they had our credit card information and we were all set. The next day we received an angry phone call from the manager accusing us of skipping out on our bill. She was very rude and I was not happy to have this happen as it affected our vacation. The staff needs to figure out where they dropped the ball. Very poor customer service.

The hotel was amazing in every way. The most beautiful room I have ever been in. The bed was large and comfortable. The location was excellent in a quiet area but close to the old city. And the hotel parking is 9 euros per day.

This is an absolute bait and switch. I paid for a classic double, which according to the listing, was an updated room with a private patio or balcony. What I got was a room in the attic that resembled a dungeon: dark, small, pitched ceilings with little headroom around the bed, no bathroom privacy. Completely unacceptable! They refused to refund my money and offered no solution when I exposed their scheme.

We had a challenging check in. The woman who checked us in was anxious, flustered, confrontational and not accommodating. After traveling 9 hours by plane and 3 hours by car to get there, I did not feel welcome. Thankfully, after 5ish minutes of this exchange, another woman came to the front desk to help us / I believe her name was yisette? She was so kind, helpful and kind went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Great Place to Stay

This was our second time staying at Mittermeier. Wonderful staff and just a different feel than a regular hotel: a good one. Due to some overbooking we received an upgraded room and all we can say is wonderful room.

Excellent location just steps away from walled city of Rothenburg. Lift to rooms also made it much easier with our luggages. Dinner onsite was delicious with interesting fusion flavours. Very comfortable room. Only downside was the weak water pressure.
