The room wasn’t overly clean tv didn’t work until we got someone to come look cos it was missing a cable. Pipe outside bedroom window must need cleaning out as you could hear it all night dripping

The pool gate was locked, and the room was not very clean. We requested fresh towels after the first night, but nothing was done until 6:00 pm, and only after I followed up with reception again. Overall, it was not a good experience.

The room and grounds were not in the greatest condition- more old and outdated than anything else. The bathroom door did not shut. The room was really big and the bed was comfortable. There was also plenty of parking in the front and out back. This is a fine place to stay if you just plan on sleeping there- it definitely isn’t luxury.

An older type motel. It is not a "hotel" - there is no restaurant. It's rather shabby but you get what you pay for. Our unit was clean. The motel manager is very friendly and helpful. He kindly moved us to another room when we discovered that we had been allocated a unit adjacent to the extremely busy main road. It is worth noting that if you book a Twin Studio, they are all located on the noisy side of the motel. There is a pool, which appeared to be in good condition and was being used. On the whole, reasonably good value for money.

I travel often for work and like to support different businesses however I do not recommend Lake Rotorua my experience was terrible. I had booked in for two nights. I overlooked the first terrible event of being checked into a room that wasn’t clean, it looked like someone was still staying in there. Empty pizza boxes, unmade bed, dirty towels in the bathroom. They said there was a miscommunication, When I was given my new room there were holes in the bathroom, and a strand of long black hair in the fridge. The next morning I had bought my pre-made breakfast with me and there was no cutlery but of course this was before 9am and no one I could ask. I then was unaware that you had to request housekeeping so I came back later that night to no fresh linen. The unmade bed was annoying but ok. By then I couldn’t be bothered trying to find another accommodation as it was already 7pm. Just to add to this the two lights kept flickering needing a lightbulb and The TV crapped out to finish the night. An unpleasant experience and I do not recommend.

Great vibe, pool was warm enough for a winter swim, room had a great layout, and staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative was an ugly chewing gum stain on the sofa (room 007) and there were ants in the kitchenette

Experience on hand.

Noise maybe a bother due to being right next to a main in-city road,nice and tidy,had no washing area for utensils/cutlery in my unit so used bathroom sink instead,once in parking area became full,had to use unsealed parking behind rear end units,gates closed so became somewhat secured,friendly staff/room service,only offer cold breakfast.

Spacious, adequate parking with sensor lights out back away from the main area. Prompt service: It was cold in the evening and the wall heating units were weak, but portable heater provided when asked. WiFi was a little spotty, but adequate. The hard drive was faulty on the Sky unit, so unable to record programs. Good shower with decent pressure. No warm water in the basin tap.
