Great stay

Great two night stay at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable. The hotel is not far from Polynesian Spa which is a must visit for anyone going to Rotorua.

May be ok when they’ve finished renovating…

This place is very very tired. It’s undergoing renovations but I wasn’t warned of these and there was banging and drilling throughout the day. Half the lights didn’t work in my room and there were tears in the curtains. Reception staff really didn’t care when I mentioned this.

It is a bit old hotel and there was ongoing maintenance work, but i conceder this normal.. The problem was the staff when we were checking out. We are bigger family group: couple with 9 years old boy, 2 months old baby and 70 years old lady that Dont speak any English.. The phone calls from the reception started 9:30 am that we need to check out. On the firs call we explained that we are with small baby and will need more time and we will check out by 11am and we know that can trigger late check out and we will need to pay for that. From 9:30 till 10:30 am we received 6 calls total and 4 visits to the rooms from them

They made us wait until nearly four pm to check in. When I went to check in they kept telling me it would be “just twenty more minutes”, “just five more minutes”. It wasn’t a massive deal but it was annoying. After I asked the fourth time, they offered some drink vouchers which was appreciated.
