It as its own spa. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. The only thing downside is that the bathroom and the building is a bit tired, although very clean for its age. May need a renovation soon. The bed was clean and the mattress was excellent. Highly recommended.

Great stay at Novotel. Comfy bed/pillows. Great breakfast. Right next door are multiple choices of eateries. Parking is on the street or paid secure next door. Park and lake right opposite. It was at the centre of all our activities by car so very convenient.

Close to everything. Only saw staff at check in. Clean tidy rooms. Comfortable bed. Few things they could fix. Someone's food tray left in corridor from Friday to Sunday. Yougart was starting to smell. Didn't replace towels used on first nights stay so ran short of towels.

Family weekend away

An awesome weekend away Faboulus from the start Dylan at Reception was awesome, i had a request on my reservation for top floor so he changed our booking the available room on the 5th floor, the view was priceless. We had the lake twin. Beds super comfy with nice pillows. Spa and pool are very good, we didnt know there is a private spa too but the included ones are what we needed. Great practical gym. Breakfast was yummy and had great range, they made burritos which was lovely. Staff at kitchen and Restaurant very helpful and welcoming. Oh dont forget there was a juice maker, soft serve ice cream maker and smoothi maker all on the breakfast package so you can use these too 👌👌👌... My boy super enjoyed his breakie and the location is far from brilliant, Eat street just there and the newly built Lake Front playground and picnic area just in the front . They had a small kids play zone and also a room to store ur bikes... Cant fault at all. Will definitely stay again 👌

Was so excited to stay as I had heard lovely things. On arrival, reception staff member bullied another staff member in front of me. No robe but one slipper left under the bed from the previous guest indicating the room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. Pools were refilling asked reception how long was met with rude response and no idea. Went to pool ended up scraping knees on pool and a staff infection. Literally the worse holiday and it cost me $700

Family 1 night stay. Room was as expected, bath had staining in it and shower curtain looking old. For the price of stay no complaints and all as expected. Check in was quicker with manager jumping in to get us into a room early which was much more convenient for us with 2 small kids.

Unhappy

We had 2 rooms 1 had no exhurst fan in bathroom so lots of condensation, mould on ceiling and shower rails & taps. Carpet old and worn. Leaking sink which leaked onto bath towels The 2nd room had broken handle on the tap in bathroom, kickboard under the fridge was rotting away, very aged carpet and very squeaky door.

We chose Novotel because of its closeness to the lake front as we were attending the Matariki drone show. We were very thankful for room service as the lines for food at the event were far too long for us with two young children. Room had amazing views. Bathrooms need a refresh but otherwise everything we needed.
