I had a fantastic stay at Hotel James in Rotterdam! The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the nearby attractions. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable, with thoughtful details that make you feel at home. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the highlights was the overall atmosphere of the hotel—it’s stylish yet cozy, and everything feels well-maintained. I also appreciated the amenities offered, which added great value to the experience. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to make the gym accessible 24 hours a day. For guests with varying schedules or those who prefer late-night or early-morning workouts, this would be a fantastic addition to an already excellent experience. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel James for anyone visiting Rotterdam. I’ll definitely return!

Great room very quiet but in a great location for what we needed, staff were exceptional from reception to the lady in ths hotel shop great communication and only too happy to help. Excellent value for money. Only negatives were that our bedroom view was of a multistorey car park accross the road and the top of the buidling appears to be a construction site but we heard no noise over the weekend.

We enjoyed our stay even though the shower floors were very slippery, in fact one of us fell. We told the front desk but not sure if that situation has changed.....be very careful as there are no grab bars to hold on to as well. Was not crazy about the breakfast setup as you don't have options for hot breakfast. They give out discount coupons at the front desk for a couple restaurants. Hotel very clean and staff great.

Be aware that building work being carried out around (and perhaps to) the hotel, Rotterdam appaeras to be never finished and building work everywhere but still a graet location
