This beautiful and cosy detached house is within walking distance (5 minutes) of the charming village of Roussillon, in the heart of the Luberon, famous for its ochre cliffs. A holiday home in Provence, ideal for families to relax! The colourful village of Roussillon is worth a visit in itself, but the splendour of the Luberon Natural Park is full of other treasures to discover by bike, on foot or, why not, in a hot-air balloon. The cedar forest of Bonnieux, the castle of Lourmarin and typical Provençal villages, are just a few kilometres away, as are Gordes, Ménerbes, Lacoste and Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. Besides the natural areas, towns such as Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, with its beautiful canals, cosy restaurants and antique shops, are well worth a visit. Avignon, with its magnificent Palais des Papes, is a few minutes away, and Aix-en-Provence (lively market) is also easily accessible. Set on a hill, the house offers comfortable bedrooms, a private pool and stunning views of the surrounding area. The terrace has a barbecue and you can sunbathe with a glass of iced tea. The garden is a green sanctuary where you can meditate with the sound of birds in the background.

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen een rondleiding door het huis. Er werden afspraken gemaakt voor vertrek. De accommodatie was zeer net en beantwoordde volledig aan de verwachting. Het zwembad was zeer goed onderhouden en kreeg tijdens het verblijf zelf een onderhoudsbeurt. Het betreft een huisje dat omgeven is door bomen en gelegen op een berg waardoor ook nergens inkijk is. Het gezellige dorpje ligt op 10 minuten wandelafstand en voorziet in een aantal bars en restaurantjes. De plaatselijke warme bakker voorziet elke dag heel wat artisanale producten.

Het huis staat midden in de mooiste streek van Frankrijk dus alles is binnen een half uur bereikbaar. Kanoën op de Sorgue, boomklimmen, ruige wandelingen en prachtige stadjes. Het huis is schattig, alsof je bij je Franse oude suikertante verblijft die erg van reizen, koken en lezen houdt. Veel boeken, souvenirs en keukengerei in het huis. Het is een wat gedateerd interieur maar de badkamer is heel modern. In de bijkeuken handig een tweede koel-vriescombi. Het zwembad is diep en heeft de hele dag zon. Bij het zwembad kun je in de schaduw van de bomen zitten. Prachtige met groen omgeven tuin. Direct achter het gemeentebord van Roussillon, eerste weggetje rechts eerste inrit rechts staat het huis. Je hoort hier dus wel een beetje stadsgeluiden en burengeluiden. Kort wandelingetje naar het dorp voor de bakker en naar de Sentier des Ocres kun je gewoon lopen vanuit je huis. De beheerster is heel vriendelijk maar spreekt alleen frans.

De foto geeft niet geheel weer wat de accommodatie biedt. Het is werkelijk fantastisch! Het huis is een heerlijk welkom, veel spullen aanwezig, ook persoonlijke spullen, wat maakt dat je het gevoel hebt echt welkom te zijn. De badkamer is heerlijk, enig minpunt vonden wij de wc is wat klein en onhandig. Er is er maar 1, en met een gezin met 5 is dat soms niet handig. Het huis ligt heerlijk, met een grote tuin aan de achterkant, dat zie je niet goed op de foto's. Het zwembad is heerlijk, en wordt goed onderhouden. Je zit prachtig in de tuin, veel schaduwplekken en goed prive, met mooi uitzicht op de bergen. Een prachtige plek, heerlijk elke dag lopend naar de bakker. Het dorpje is werkelijk prachtig! Ik kan iedereen aanraden dit huisje te huren.

Haus befindet sich direkt am Rande des Dorfes. Bäckerei, Metzgerei und Geschäfte zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Pool ist groß und tief (perfekt mit älteren Kindern). Das Haus ist geräumig. Das Badezimmer ist veraltet und umständlich mit nur einem Bad (ohne Duschvorhang). Das Haus ist in Bezug auf onrichting und Sachen mehr als komplett. Im Garten, mehrere Terrassen, so können Sie immer im Schatten sitzen, wenn Sie wollen.
