L'Ecomaison - Luminous & Open Space

Summary:

Nestling in the forest near Bellecombe, this light-filled refuge welcomes up to 10 travellers. There are three bedrooms, including a peaceful suite with private shower. Every detail is an invitation to well-being: underfloor heating, wood-burning stove, bidet, passive solar heating. In the garden, compost and solar panels add to the eco-friendly spirit. Away from the road, enjoy an intimate, gentle and inspiring stay.



The Space:

When you push open the door, you enter directly into a large open-plan space that unites the kitchen, dining room and living room under very high ceilings. The huge high windows offer views of the forest and flood the room with light. The staircase runs along the wall and leads upstairs. On one side is a cosy bedroom, on the other a small boudoir area by the wood-burning stove, perfect for reading or relaxing. A little further on, you'll find a full bathroom, designed with your comfort in mind.



As you climb the stairs, you'll discover another relaxing area bathed in light, with a view of the large windows. This floor leads to two large, welcoming bedrooms, including a beautiful suite with its own full bathroom.



Guest Access:

Travellers have access to the entire house, as well as to the outside grounds. It is also possible to walk freely in the forest or on the land behind the house to take full advantage of the surrounding nature. Only locked areas for technical use are not accessible.



The Neighborhood:

Respect for the environment is essential: it is strictly forbidden to uproot flowers, cut branches, remove sap or bark from birch trees, or damage vegetation. Please drive carefully to preserve the grounds. Composting is compulsory and water and heating must be used sparingly.



Getting Around:

The house is in the middle of the forest, accessible by a well-maintained path. An adapted vehicle is recommended in winter. No nearby neighbours: remember to plan your shopping in advance.
