Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Breakfast was good. Accommodation was very basic for price, water pressure very low , bathroom door very hard to open, sticky catch. Tv very small for size of room. Needs a deep clean. Bedding and towels were clean.
Just nice to catch up with family and friends very friendly good food

A lot of noise and no real coffee
A lit of nouse outside from a party that lasted past 10 pm. The free breakfast was cancelled one of the days. There is no real coffee at breakfast. Only instant.
Had a one night stay booked, as we had an evening wedding reception to go to nearby. We arrived early as we wanted to have a relaxing lunch and not have to rush. Easy access off the A505, ample parking. Had a delicious lunch from a varied menu, quiet, but a lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff were fantastic, very attentive. The accommodation was on par with the price we paid, it did the job! Breakfast was lovely in the morning, just what we needed. Check in and out was easy.
The service was excellent through the stay. The rooms are set in converted buildings away from the main building which overlook the common used courtyard. The evening meal was well cooked and large portions with a choice related of burgers, chicken, pizza and chips. The room was well located for Duxford and the Air Show we attended and suited us for an overnight stay.
The bar is very small and closes early - we were exhausted so certainly wasn’t an issue for us and the restaurant was a decent size. Meal was good, great selection of drinks, room (spitfire) was clean and comfortable and appeared to have been recently refurbished. The young lady (owners daughter?) served us in the evening and the following morning very efficiently and competently so thankyou!
Breakfast was included , very tasty and perfect size. First time staying here and I will stay again
Very good for a short stay. Room was a bit small but clean,
comfortable and quiet. Staff are very good. Plenty of choice for a good freshly cooked breakfast,
The breakfast was good, everything else, not so much.
Floor was creaky and uneven.
Shower was weak and either scolding or freezing.
Mattress was past its best.
Main window was covered by a thin curtain, small box window didn’t have anything to cover it.
Found a dead fly on the floor.
Positives were that we did get clean bedding and towels.
it was quiet, although don’t think there was anyone else in our building.
Ample parking.
Easy to find.
Bar and restaurant was okay
Generally fine. Clean room, adequate for my stay. Good choice of burgers and hotdogs but little else on the menu. Breakfast was fine with the chef prepared to make your choice.
On a main road so never going to be quiet!
The permanent funfair right outside was unexpected though. To be fair(!) it did close down at 9pm.
Lots of opportunity to walk (run for me)locally on quieter side roads.
Duxford is 5 minutes drive (the main reason for my visit) with an RSPB site just a couple of miles away also.
