This hotel is in a great location. It’s right off I-5, a short drive to Golden 1 or Old Sac. The area around the hotel is a little sketchy, but the property itself, from the parking lot, to the lobby, to the rooms, are well maintained. We felt perfectly safe, and would absolutely stay again if we are in the area.

The Governors Inn was clean, staff friendly and efficient, and close to Freeway. The only downfall was the large congregation of homeless around the corner from the hotel.

Initially i was pleased until my key would not work in the outside doors many times. Having a room on the backside and having to go all the way around to the front door many times was very inconvienient especially when carrying many items. They said the door card readers fail frequntly. Also i requested a towel for the pool and was given a hand towel! Also no fan in the bathroom. Tv watching was a joke, not many options and no tv guide.

Comfortable stay

We had a very comfortable stay here. It was affordable, breakfast was included, and it was a quick drive to the capitol. We slept deeply and comfortably. I wish the A/C had been turned on prior to our arrival to our room; it was pretty stifling on a hot day, but it cooled down quick enough. The only thing that we didn't like about this hotel was that the street just behind it was lined with homeless people and tents. The hotel had a brick wall separating the property from that street and there was a parking lot next door that had a lot of police cars parked, so we were distanced from it.
