Expected more, but Staff was certainly friendly

The staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. I was looking forward to the Hot tub to relax, however it was very murky and had a disturbing smell. Door that we were told to go in to bring up our stuff was broken, key card wouldn’t work. For the price of the stay, I expected things to be a-little cleaner.

We stay at this location quite often- usually at least 3 times a year, sometimes more. This was the third time that we have had the same front desk person. I can never remember her name, but she is the reason we choose to stay here!! She is the sweetest girl & is always so kind & helpful. We stayed here over Christmas & I had told her what we were doing- & she said if we had extra time, she would love to see our kids dressed up! We took them to the lobby & she told them how great they looked & she couldn’t wait to hear about seeing Santa! She is just the absolute greatest receptionist we have ever had- and we stay at many different hotels. The only things I could complain about, is the person working the breakfast area seemed very irritated with me when I grabbed a chocolate milk for each of my children. Just wasn’t expecting to feel guilty for grabbing them a drink. And the pool area smelled weird this time, almost like wet dog? We ended up getting out of the pool & finding other things to do because we couldn’t stand the smell.

BED BUGS

They have BED BUGS! I went into the room and within an hour I found one in the bathroom. I went downstairs to check out and get a refund and they didn’t take it seriously. The lady had me show her up stairs in the room and when I showed her she literally smooshed it with her finger. This place is gross and would t recommend it to anyone!

Quick stay in Birch Run

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and spacious. I don’t think the room was worth the rate charged. The sound proofing was terrible. It sounded like we were in a big city. The indoor soundproofing was equally as bad. It sounded like people were entering our room at times since the other doors were so loud.

Nice stay

Came into town for a wedding. Front desk was amazing and so sweet. The pool had emergency maintenance so we didnt get to try it. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Soft and firm pillows to choose from.
