We spent a week at L'Hauska (with our German Shepherd) while our son was at Sagueneens training camp in Chicoutimi. What an absolute perfect spot. We loved it and would definitely stay again when back in the area. Only a 20 minute drive to Chicoutimi. It was quiet, secluded, had everything needed for preparing meals (full kitchen, bbq). The hot tub was a nice feature. There is a firepit as well, although we didn't get a chance to use it. Even our dog was sad to leave at the end of the week :)

The property was very clean, and the host was friendly, responsive and genuinely willing to help, which we appreciated.There were, however, a few aspects of the amenities that are worth mentioning for future guests. During our stay, the only reliably working coffee maker was the single-serve one, and the shower control did not work properly.The sofa bed in the living room was also quite unstable. I would not consider it suitable for two people to sleep on, and even with one person, moving too far to one side could cause the sleeping surface to tip toward the floor. This is worth keeping in mind if you are relying on the sofa bed as part of the advertised sleeping capacity.The dryer was another challenge. Clothes regularly required three or four cycles/restarts before they were wearable, and even then they were sometimes not completely dry.None of these issues individually would have ruined our stay, and the cleanliness of the property and helpfulness of the host were definite positives. Collectively, though, some of the amenities could use maintenance or upgrading.The property itself has a lot of potential, and I hope this feedback is helpful both to the host and to future guests when assessing whether it suits their needs.
