This house is designed for group entertaining. It is relaxing and comfortable enough to house 10 guests, while providing each guest the privacy of a private room. The house has a table for 10 inside, and a table for 6 on the covered patio area. A gas powered BBQ is located on the back patio as well, and propane is supplied for each guest. There are lawn games (bocce ball and corn hole) as well as toys/activities for the kids available (train set, house iPad). The living room has a smart TV setup with Netflix, other streaming services can be logged into using the Amazon Firestick. The Bixby house is located just 50 meters off Hwy 68, so is an ideal starting point for groups planning to spend time on the peninsula, in Big Sur, or at the raceway!
The entire house is accessible excepting a small storage shed outside for supplies. There is space for 5 vehicles in the driveway. The neighborhood is beautiful and perfect for morning strolls, or a cycle around the loop (Corral de Tierra loop is 16 miles and is known as a cycling destination). The region is called the Pastures of Heaven and is home to beautiful rolling hills, seasonal streams, deer, wild turkey, and dozens of bird species. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.

Our neighborhood is the lovely San Benancio Village. From the house you can take a stroll through the neighborhood, or easily access Highway 68. Monterey and Salinas are each 8-10 minutes.
There are two bus stops nearby, but having transportation is best in this area. The house is easy to find, just off the highway, but not directly adjacent, so its quiet but close.
This is a neighborhood, please be aware quiet hours of 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. are enforced. Please do not park on the street, ensure all vehicles are parked in the driveway behind the house.
There are 3 HVAC (air conditioning) units, and 4 Heating units throughout the house. These are located: HVAC (Living Room, and in 2 Bedrooms), Heater (1 in Living Room, 2 in Bedrooms, and 1 in Hallway near laundry room).
***Please be aware the three bedrooms closest to San Benancio Rd. will be warmer in the summer as the HVACs are concentrated on the other side of the house. They also tend to be cooler, although the Hallway Heater is in the center of these 3 bedrooms. We provide portable fans and heaters for the 3 bedrooms that do not have their own AC/heating units.***
Events are not allowed at this property. An event is any gathering where guests not included in the headcount listed at booking would be on site. We do not allow day guests. There are NO EVENTS allowed at this property. Guests may ONLY park in the driveway. DO NOT park in front of neighbors homes.
