Perfect for a short stay

Bed was very Comfortable. Room clean and well presented. Loved the fact that there was a small refrigerator in the room My only criticisms were that the TV was rather small & the road outside a little busy . I only used the tea facilities . Having said that I would definitely stay again

Would have rated it higher but we had a very noisy family above us which sounded like kids jumping off of the bed onto the floor! Very creaky floors as well. Lots of traffic noise too. Be aware that the Indian though 10% discount for staying here add on the exact amount you save onto the bill which you can ask to be removed, food and service was good though we got it removed and added a cash tip, though the same noisy family was behind us in the restaurant with screaming kids lol

Room was clean but booked this room because advert states air conditioning but it hasnt got air conditioning it has a cooler fan which is quite cold when filled with cold water but very noisy the room does have a mini fridge and kettle which is good but the mattress is 2 singles put together and is very soft and light in bathroom is above the sink and doesnt light the bath or shower so it ls quite dark when in there. But the Indian restaurant next door is very good t

We stayed in the Apartment. It slept 6, but there were 3 of us, so plenty of space. 2 bathrooms . No elevator , but only a couple of flights . No breakfast, but we ate breakfast at the Garden Center , 5 minutes drive away. Great place !Lodge location was ok. Obviously one would be driving to the Lodge . But an easy place to fine and easy access into Salisbury. Next door to the New Forest Lodge was an Indian Restaurant. We didn’t try it as we had eaten at a super restaurant in Salisbury. But the Indian restaurant was very busy ; lots of cars parked outside! Parking was easy and free at the New Forest Lodge . Big plus they allow dogs ! 10 pounds per night. Overall a good break and close to Stonehenge and the wonderful Salisbury Cathedral, which is well worth visiting and touring inside. Salisbury is well worth a visit !

Getting to know the New Forest.

A new experience for us, a hotel that offered very comfortable rooms, and a community room equipped with a kettle a toaster and a microwave so we could prepare snacks and breakfasts for ourselves. The bedroom had a reasonable sized fridge enabling us to store dairy products and other chilled foods. There was a garden centre near by where we could have breakfasts,. The was an Indian restaurant next door and a local pub just up the road where evening meals were available. These facilities suited our needs. The location of the hotel was ideal for visiting and exploring the New Forest and we found a variety of interesting places to visit. Attractive villages, good forest walks, the sea was not far away either. Also near by was Romsey, anattractive market town, Beaulieu with the National Motor Museum, and the cathedral city of Salisbury. The manager was very helpful and friendly.We had a most enjoyable week here and would certainly come and stay here again.
