We had a very early flight out of salt lake airport so we needed a hotel close to the airport that provided an airport shuttle. This hotel was just what we needed. Staff was helpful and the shuttle was easy and on time. It’s an older hotel and small rooms - so it’s not a place to stay if you are on vacation and want to spend time in your room. But we just needed a place to sleep and get up early for our flight so for that purpose it’s great.

Horrible management!

I checked in a 8pm and asked for a late checkout. I was offered a noon checkout by the very nice woman working the front desk and was told there would be no charge unless I wanted a later time. I said noon was great! Despite this, I was woken up four! times before 11am. The first time was the front desk calling my room at 9am! to tell me they would be testing the hotel alarm system, which took place shortly after. The next two times was housekeeping knocking on my door despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign I had put outside. And the fourth time was the manager pounding on my door right at 11am *yelling* at me that I had to vacate the room immediately. I was very upset that I had been woken up a fourth time despite me scheduling a late check out and she and I started shouting at each other through the closed door. I explained to her that I had requested the late check out and she said if that was the case I would be charged $25. I told her there was no way I was going to allow her to charge me for this since 1. I had been told there wouldn’t be an extra charge and 2. I had been woken up several times already that morning. At this point she tried to enter my room which is absolutely unacceptable! Thankfully I had the safety “bolt” in place which prevented her from opening the door. She yelled at me that she was charging me the late checkout fee and left. Knowing I wasn’t going to get any more sleep, I packed my things and was out of the hotel by 11:30am.

Parking is not free

I stayed here so I could have free parking for my travels as other places often offer. They charged me still to park and then did not offer around the clock shuttle service. I booked a taxi for my return trip as I was told it would be too late for their shuttle. I will never stay here again.
