Amazing cost-benefit, you're in the heart of Salvador Carnival for the Barra-Ondina circuit. There are also good options to eat, very close to Shopping Barra, supermarkets, and drugstores. The hotel's structure is not the most modern or well maintained, but it is not an issue if you don't care about it. Also, be aware that depending on the floor, you may hear significant street noise.

Minha estadia no Hotel Porto Salvador foi extremamente frustrante. Logo no check-in, fui encaminhado para um quarto que apresentava um forte cheiro de esgoto, tornando a permanência impossível. Após a troca de quarto, o problema passou a ser a limpeza. Percebi claramente que os lençóis não haviam sido trocados, pois encontrei fios de cabelo neles. Reclamei com a recepção e fui informado de que haviam feito uma "inspeção" e que a troca teria ocorrido, o que não era verdade. Ao questionar novamente, a versão mudou: a camareira afirmou que a máquina de lavar é que estaria "sujando" o enxoval. Diante de tantas desculpas contraditórias e do cansaço, acabei desistindo de reclamar para não estragar ainda mais o meu dia, mas a falta de cuidado com o básico (higiene e odor) é inadmissível. Não recomendo e não pretendo voltar. Pontos positivos: Localização espetacular! ao lado da praia do Porto da Barra, praticamente em frente ao Farol da Barra. Além disso, conta com depósitos de bebidas e restaurantes com preço bom, bem próximos do hotel, senti a falta do Hiper Bom preço que ficava em frente ao Hotel, infelizmente foi fechado há 2 anos.
