Stayed a few years ago and now recently again for family city break. LOCATION: Location has always been the draw - quiet enough to rest and sleep but close enough to explore the city on foot. ROOMS: Starting to show signs of age on our recent stay. Curtains falling off, safe didn’t work the whole time there, poor water pressure in the showers, towels small and poor quality. STAFF: Bar staff very friendly and helpful. Interacted really well with small child we travelled with and was accepting of the noise and chaos they create. Reception staff could be better in welcoming guests to the hotel and more willing to help when requests are made. BREAKFAST Good choice of food at breakfast of good quality but often ran out of hot food with a long wait for food items to be replenished at times. Overall a good stay had but with comparison to stay a few years back the concern going forwards is that the quality provided will drop.

Excellent breakfast, convenience and service!

Enjoyed our stay at NH. The breakfast was excellent -- so many options! The room was clean and the staff was responsive, professional and friendly. Online check-in and check-out is hassle-free. It was within walking distance of the train station and attractions. My only suggestion would be softer bed sheets. While I slept well and the bed was comfortable, the sheets did feel a little rougher/scratchier than I prefer. We will stay here again the next time we are in Salzburg!

Have stayed in a few NH collection properties and they always exceed my expectations. Staff were wonderfully hospitable, friendly and polite. Hotel is within walking distance to the town area and the walk is a scenic route passing through the lovely walking bridge. Only issue with the hotel is the tight parking and entrance…. It’s pretty difficult to drive in.

Communication wasnt good. Told breakfast went til noon. Not true. Time changed multiple times during our stay. Told if we didnt have room cleaned we got two "drink" vouchers for bar. Not true. Just beer or soda. Were told this after 6 drinks. Told bar was open til midnight every day. Not true. Came back to hotel for a drink and bar was closed at 7pm. Not a big issue, but just tell guests what the deal is. Staff was awesome! Very noisy hotel in am. Cant sleep much past 730am.

Good location, room was not great

The room did not match what I expected based on the description and was quite small for a supposedly ‘superior’ room. There was nowhere convenient to put the luggage and the room was quite dark. Also the bathroom had a sliding door which was odd and the shower tray was poorly designed. The only positives of the hotel for me were that the room had a window that I could open to get fresh air, the location of the hotel was great and the breakfast was pretty good. I also liked the gym.

Good location and nice hotel. Comfortable room and bed. Spoilt by housekeeping knocking on door or just walking in every 20 minutes from 8-12, despite having Do not Disturb sign…. which they then removed, so same knocking next morning.

Great location! Lots of shopping and restaurants neaby. The hotel bar has great drinks and atmosphere. If your too lazy to leave, they also have great quick bites. The rooms are very clean and offer excellent amenities. The biggest 5 star rating about this hotel is the staff. They are fantastic. Very helpful and really nice to talk to. We changed our reservation to leave Vienna quicker than anticipated and are so thankful we did. To be honest, I thought I was going to go home disliking Austria because of the attitudes we faced in Vienna. Super grumpy unpleasant people no matter how friendly you are to them. We get along with anyone but my patience was tested in Vienna. Salzburg and the staff here turned it all around and we will happily come back to Salzburg. You will not go wrong with the NH hotels. The only downside, that may not be a downside for some, the beds are really hard in all NH hotels. We dont like them but the rest of the hotel is why we come back. Perhaps a pillow top menu would be a great option to provide?
