Boutique hotel on the RiverWalk, San Antonio

We loved our stay at Valencia Riverwalk. Our room was spacious with tons of add-on options. There was a fully stocked mini-fridge, down comforters and an honor bar in the room. We enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace during Happy Hour that overlooked the River Walk.

My Favorite Hidden Gem on the Riverwalk Hotel Valencia in San Antonio is hands down my favorite place to stay — a perfect blend of modern comfort and romantic charm. Every visit feels like a retreat, and no matter how many times I come back, I’m always greeted with the same warmth and attention to detail that keeps me returning. The atmosphere is tranquil and sophisticated, with a touch of European flair. One of my favorite features is the beautiful indoor water fountain — a peaceful centerpiece that adds a calming, elegant touch to the hotel’s interior. Sitting nearby with a coffee or glass of wine instantly puts me at ease. The rooms are always immaculate and beautifully styled, with plush bedding that offer a unique view of the Riverwalk or the serene courtyard. The lighting, textures, and quiet ambiance make it the perfect space to relax after a long day. Service is consistently excellent — staff members are professional, kind, and always eager to help without being intrusive. And the location couldn’t be better: tucked just off the busy Riverwalk, you get all the convenience without the noise. Hotel Valencia isn’t just a hotel — it’s an experience. Well maintained property close to museums, Alamo, and restaurants. One quibble: why no drinking water provided in the rooms? Have to buy bottled water to even make coffee in room or refill own bottle in gym! BTW, tap water is not safe to drink in San Antonio

Seemed a popular hotel for bachelor/ette groups so it was a little noisy in the evening (shouting in hallways and rooms) but usually settled down by about 11. Property was otherwise excellent. Only real criticism would be no fans in the bathroom which meant they held shower steam for a long time.
