Grea place= wonderful manager!

We had a great stay here. The hostel was nice and the owner was terrific. She spent a lot of time orienting us to the area, providing a map, helping us arrange sightseeing- calling places for us, getting prices. She explained about the money exchange. The breakfast was charming -the best orange juice I have ever had. The jellies and jams were from local fruit. Our room was nice and was cleaned every day. The bedspreads "shed" down feathers, which meant the floor got messy quickly. Wi-Fi was fine. The location was good- an easy walk down hill to shopping.

Clean and quiet but an uphill hike from downtown

The common area is nice but the room was quite small and the bed, especially the one long hard pillow was not very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet but it is several blocks uphill from downtown which can mean quite a hike coming back.

Adorable, cozy hosteria close to Bariloche center

Hosteria Guemes is so wonderful!! Expedia had lost my reservation (unbeknownst to me), so the hotel didn't have a record of me, but they took me in anyway and gave me full service and attention! The rooms are cozy (plenty of space for one person, still enough space for two), but very clean and sunny. The hosteria is about 5 blocks up from downtown Bariloche, which I liked a lot because you could walk down to the hustle and bustle, but could also escape to your neighborhood at the end of the day. Paula and Martin are so helpful and accommodating, and serve you a delicious breakfast every morning. I will stay here again in a heartbeat!
