Janet & Scott are your hosts. We are a husband and wife team and we live nearby. We own and operate Mission Beach Villas, a highly rated vacation rental management business in San Diego.

We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay.

Our storefront rental office, Mission Beach Villas, is a mile away as well, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate. Please note, we charge a small nominal fee for luggage storage.

Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants, and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area.

The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you may not need a car. You could just take a taxi from the airport (6 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.

The location is the best spot of all of Mission Beach. It is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach), which means a non district area. It is far enough (1 mile) north of the roller coaster area so it's very removed from the tourist noise. It is off of the main boulevard with friendly neighbors and a quiet homey atmosphere.

Recreational opportunities abound. This beach house is within walking distance to Santa Clara point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sail boats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available in all of these activities. What's more there are free yoga classes each day on the beach and two courts north.

It is equally centered between Belmont Park (the roller coaster area) and Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach, which are both 1 mile away, making this location removed from the tourist noise but yet accessible to the action if that's what you want.

There is a fantastic surf spot at the beach out front for beginners to the advanced surfer and great for the spectator as well. There are affordable surf lessons offered daily in the beach right out in front by our friends at Surfari Surf School. What's more, we can point you to all the best surf spots in San Diego County. And we have two world class board shapers who live on our block in case you want to get a new surf board while you are here.

We offer keyless digital entry and you will have private access to the beach house. You may come and go as you please. There are no keys to lose, just a simple 4 digit passcode to remember.

Included with the rental is the use of boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and sand toys for the kids. Plus there is a rental shop just a 3 minute walk away that rents beach cruiser bikes, surfboards, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. They have very affordable rates, plus tell them "Janet & Scott" sent you and the rental shop will give you an additional 15% off!

If you bring a car we will provide you with one parking space on site in the single car garage. Keep in mind that the garage will accommodate only an average sized car. (Please let us know in advanced if you are bringing a car.)

This cozy little beach cottage is positioned in the heart of Mission Beach, a gorgeous beach community on a super narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Walk in either direction (West or East) and you'll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycle riding or walking. On the bay-side you'll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean-side you'll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you'll call it paradise. We simply call it home!

Enjoy dining outside on the front patio, which includes a propane barbecue grill. little outdoor side tables , chairs, and umbrella for shade.

The beach cottage features two bedrooms, one bathroom, cozy living room, and a fully supplied kitchen. There are queen size beds in each of the two bedrooms, plus a sofa bed in the living room. The space is 820 square feet.

The kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, blender, and a coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as bottle openers and cork screws.

The living room comes complete with a wifi enabled Roku television, which includes live local channels, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and many other channels. What's more, there is free WIFI and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in on your own devices.

The cottage comes supplied with the basics you'd expect at any hotel like a hair dryer and iron. Plus you have a kitchen and living room to enjoy. We think of everything you might need and even stock you with beach towels so you don't need to pack those in your suitcase. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay in the comfort of your own home in a friendly neighborhood? Vacation like a local.

If you don't bring a car you will be fine. Many of our guests have come without a car and all have gotten around quite easily. Restaurants, shops, and convenience stores are within walking distance.

It is less than a 10-15 minute walk to Belmont Park where there is a giant roller coaster, rides, restaurants, bars, and shops.

Uber/Lyft options are readily available for local transport at an affordable rate. If you've never used this service before download the phone app and you may find a discount code for first-time riders online.
