Great location, very old and run down hotel. Elevators were mostly broken and took several minutes to arrive (there was a sign about repairs but according to other guests, the signs that repairs were taking place were put up 3 months ago). Rooms were reasonable but were repaired here and there with rough patches. The hotel would profit from some repairs overall but the location is great. There was no room service during the 3 days that I stayed. So in short, great location, high price but run down hotel.

I'd love to give this property a review. Unfortunately, after being dropped off at the hotel after dark, and with a large suitcase, I was informed they had overbooked their rooms, and no longer has a room available for me. The desk manager gave me a piece of paper, and instructed me to walk to the Residence Inn, a couple of blocks away. They had secured a room for me there. I was shocked. He wanted me to walk with my suitcase, in the dark, rainy night, to another hotel. Seeing my hesitation, he offered to make the security guard (who was employed by a security company and who's job was to watch and guard the front of the hotel) walk with me. The guard tried to protest that he could get in trouble, but the manager insisted, So away we went. (I did give the poor security guard a generous tip.) At the end of the day, it wasn't that big of a deal, and certainly the hotel I stayed at was very nice, if a bit farther from the restaurant I had reservations at. I think if he had offered a shuttle to the other hotel, I wouldn't have been as upset, but just telling me to be on my way then when I'm traveling and expecting to finally check in, sit down, and relax was unsettling, at best.

I was at the hotel for an event. Check in staff was amazing but the check out staff was rude. Information given at checked in was not honored. The hotel was clean and conveniently located to all kinds of places. PARKING IS EXPENSIVE AND LIMITED.

Property is in need of updating! Beds are very firm and not very comfortable. Train is VERY loud outside of hotel. Breakfast food was not very good. Parking is also very high at $40 per night, self park.

Bells and whistles - not the good kind

The location is great for walking to Little Italy, USS Midway, Maritime Museum, and the waterfront. There's a trolly stop right there too. That's a mixed blessing since the trolly and maybe some trains have signals, bells, whistles, etc making a lot of noise throughout the night. Earplugs helped but were not sufficient to fully block the bells and horns. They were obnoxiously loud, long, and persistent. The hotel elevators were being serviced while we were there. I don't know when that will be finished, but the current state is that you have to wait a while for an elevator, they reduced the limit of how many people can go in, and in spite of the reduced limit, the elevators rattle around quite a bit.
