Our stay at Maya Mtn Lodge was great. It was a quaint little place in the jungle. Our room was clean and quiet. The staff was super nice and helpful. The restaurant staff were lovely, and the food was excellent. I did a birdwatching tour one morning, which was great. We saw many different types of birds that I had never seen in the wild before. We had a large shared covered deck area outside our room, which was a really peaceful area to hang out.

We loved our stay at The Maya Mountain Lodge. Though the rooms are not glamorous, the location was great and the staff absolutely outstanding. Every single staff member was attentive to our needs. I loved everything about this property the rooms were clean and well equipped. The grounds were immaculate and there is a trail you can walk through the jungle. The meals were all as goid as any 5 star restaurant. Their chef could work in the finest restaurants and put everyone to shame. I had 2 massages and again they were amazing. On top of all this their staff are some of the most efficient caring and respectful I have ever come across.

Fantastic place in a jungle setting close to San Ignacio town. Individual cabins private a cozy and private feeling. The staff is very welcoming and work hard for their guests. We stayed in the Peace Apartment that has two bedrooms. It place has a 1950s motel feel - dated and a bit run down. Fiona’s restaurant does a very solid breakfast and dinner. The pool area is nice, but the water temp is chilly in January. Saw toucans and heard howler monkeys on the property. Very affordable, but not fancy.
