They are doing construction but not really noticable. I do have to say the smell once you get off the elevators in each floor is very bad. The smell does not reach into the room but it is awful as you walk to the room. The room is okay. The set up for the AC is very bad. The AC is located under coffee and fridge unit. So the air gets trapped. When I looked under to lower the AC temp it was very very dusty and a bit moldy (its really a poor design). Some of the furniture had a bit of wear and tear. The bathroom was a good size again a bit dated. The pool and beach area is nice and quiet. However to get service you have to scan a QR code. I miss and prefer the days of staff walking around to take orders. It seems this QR code misses the mark for service. Would like to a moment to mention three staff members that were very helpful: Ana, Gustavo and Jose. The food was good, the lobby space despite renovations was nice.

This hotel is excellent. The only thing is that they never mentioned that renovations were going on. They could have more dining options so you don’t have to leave the premises. Other than that everything is great.

Area around the resort was dangerous so we did not venture far from the location. We did go to one nearby luxury mall. Be sure to upgrade your Uber for any trip.

Property is under construction, limited food options , rooms could use an update also. Balcony doors would not lock and paid for an ocean front room and was given ocean view since they had no double queen size beds left. Offered a room with a king size bed but we were a party of three and wouldn’t work. Didn’t offer me a credit for what I paid for an ocean front room either. Expedia was nice enough to give me a 60 points for a future booking. Hotel was across the street from SJ airport and can get noisy at times. Besides that the hotel was clean and staff was friendly.

The hotel is decent with having everything you need. Great beach with sand no rocks, medium size pool, dining options, nice lounge areas. However if you are staying for a week it all becomes quickly not enough. Restaurants serve pretty much the same food, not much variety. Food is expensive for its quality. Pool is dirty by the end of the day and not cleaned as often as it should be. Housekeeping is not good. Our room had dirty floor when we checked in. Not swept with hair and peices of dirt and sand everywhere. This was very annoying. Hotel charges extra $50 per night for housekeeping, towels, umbrellas etc. but housekeeping is bad and one day they did bot even come. In general lobby is very nice and amenities are decent and convenient. Beach is the beat part of it. But I would recommend that they improve on the aspects that I mentioned in this post.
